BUT, the New-JDL had a counter-demonstration to “Honor the Victims NOT the Killer, Rasmea Odeh”.
They were there to counter the Samidoun LIES with FACTS: Rasmea Odeh is a terrorist convicted of the murder of two young Jews, Edward Joffe and Leon Kanner on Feb. 21st, 1969.
They were killed in an explosion in an Israeli market. Odeh murdered them, yet she was being honored at a rally in Union Square Park.

Interestingly, the NYPD officers seemed almost bemused as they placed barricade after barricade between the two groups, building a Wall to keep the PEACE.

To begin with, there never was a Palestinian people. They have no history yet they claim the Holy Land belongs to Islam. Not just Jerusalem (al-quds), but also “the hill country of Samaria and Judea“. It is NOT the West Bank. But, facts are inconvenient as they accuse Israel (and the Jews) of murdering the hapless “Palestinian” Muslims.

When I first arrived, everyone was setting up. The “Palis” and their Commie friends and the Pro-Israel supporters across avenue.
While taking pictures, I was approached by an older Muslim man. He asked my opinion on Jerusalem – aka al-Quds. He did NOT like my answer. Storming away angry telling me that “the JEWS have no claim. They came from Egypt.” [They CAME from Egypt?]
Then Cyrus Mc Goldrick, former head of CAIR-NY, approached me with a very friendly “hello”. (he likes to do that)
I returned the pleasantries, asking if he was still living in Florida. Nope. He’s now in TURKEY. Istanbul. “Really?”, said I, as he replied, “It’s not as bad as you might think. Its quite nice.” And he moved on.
As for this protest, it was not a large protest by the usual al-Quds standards. But, loud. Of, course. They are always LOUD.
The ubiquitous genocidal chants [From the River to the Sea] AND the usual Commie facilitators: Bill Doares (Workers World) and Sarah Flounders of IAC (International Action Center). All, when not chanting, making VERY loud speeches.

After about an hour, it started to rain, so I packed up my gear. But, as I left, I heard Doares and Flounders speaking(finally). Over an hour in to the protest, NOW they start speaking….in the RAIN….. So, I used my smart phone voice-recorder. Not the best audio (due to rain and traffic) but enough that I was able to transcribe excerpts from their Communist RANTS. Angry, anti-U.S. and anti-Israel LIES. Agitprop they could spew in a coma. If you have never listened to them, Doares and Flounders, they are like a BAD movie, that needs to be heard.
We should never forget how hostile they are to everything that has made America and Israel great.
There was also a young Muslima poet and Cyrus McGoldrick, all the way from Turkey, just to M.C. al-Quds Day.
And the Neturei Karta who always confuse the passersby. That was it. Both sides shouting back and forth. And one fellow, from the Israeli side, Robert K., who spontaneously sprinted across the avenue to shake hands. To make a peaceful gesture. (apparently the officer said – NOT TODAY) as he was ushered back to the west side of 7th. (ah well…at least he tried) Israel. Jerusalem. The Middle East. The LIES: al-Quds (Jerusalem), al-Aqsa (aka the Temple Mount!), the Nakba (day of “catasrophe”) Innocents die at the hands of the Islamic Terrorists emboldened by media support. Commie support. And the “good-will of fools”. Will Truth ever prevail?

July 7, from Friday July 1, to the next Thursday, all hell broke loose in Dallas,Texas. A domestic act of terrorism that preceded Bastille Day by a week.
The deadliest day for police since 9/11. I did not cover the massive street action (the Day of Rage protests) as I have in the past. Just last week I was assaulted by a 60 years old – healthy but small- black woman. She ran at me – like a foot ball player. Slammed her purse (it felt like sandpaper) across my face. accusing me of getting in her way on the sidewalk. OK. This is NY. The sidewalks are crowded. But, this was a QUIET avenue and I was no where close to causing this woman a problem. She was crazy perhaps but, getting a purse slammed across your face, that is assault. Nasty. She yelled at me. Accusing me of doing something BLOCKING HER on the sidewalk (that was a bizarre accusation) She remained very aggressive as she walked away, calmly eating her ice cream sunday. Her ice cream unsullied.

Among those notably absent at the Sheraton Times Square Thursday night were city Comptroller Scott Stringer and Public Advocate (of the Working Families Party) Letitia James, potential de Blasio rivals in 2017. Both instead attended the Queens Democratic Party’s annual dinner at Antun’s banquet hall in Queens Village.
Sources at de Blasio’s fund-raiser said it was attended by no more than 150 people — most of them lobbyists. The de Blasio campaign put the count at 300 and said it raised $1 million.
Conference on “Global Anti-Semitism: A Threat to International Peace and Security”
According to the World Zionist Organization, since the recent Israel-Hamas conflict there has been more than a 400-percent rise in anti-Semitic incidents in Europe. In South America and South Africa, anti-Semitic incidents have spiked 1,200 and 600 percent, respectively. In the U.S., such incidents are up 127 percent.
The conference was co-organized by the UN Permanent Mission of Palau and the Engr Aja Eze Foundation.
Attendance to this historic event was free. The place was packed.

On the third floor of the United Nations, just two doors down from the Security Council, more than 500 people gathered on September 8, 2014, for a conference on the rise of anti-Semitism. For some, the location was a touch ironic … it wasn’t the UN that decided to address the threat global anti-Semitism posed to international peace and security… it was the UN Permanent Mission of Palau and the Aja Eze Foundation that sponsored the lunchtime conference.
Energy. Intense. Positive.
Serious. Purposeful. Supportive.
The speakers explained how the rising tide of anti-Semitism, if not stopped, will have a catastrophic effect on the safety and security of the world. A thought-provoking afternoon. (14:01 – 20:36 ) She made an important point for us ALL to remember, “The perversion of the legal system is how a Holocaust begins.” The final speaker before a short Q and A was Dr. Michael Llorenz, Professor Touro College Graduate School of Business, “Entrepreneurship: A Tool to Social Integration” (20:56 – 35:33) This, too, was a powerful a speech. Dr. Llorenz posted a comment at Algemeiner I felt compelled to share. So eloquent. Passionate. Determined to make a difference. In spite of the United Nations blatant anti-Semitism!
Dear Editors:
Thank you for conveying the message of my speech at the United Nations last Monday. Too often, those of us who Israel stand on the sidelines and wait for someone else to act. Most often, fiery rhetoric substitutes for effective action.
You may know what impelled me to agree to speak and to help with the historic event that we experienced on Monday.
Hashem is not the God of coincidence. These Recommendations I made are part of a larger strategy that I prepared as a response to two questions asked of me at a book signing where a frustrated colleague who knew that I had successfully aided other communities and institutions to address their complex difficulties. “Israel and Jews are in trouble. Why don’t you come up with something to help?” I was surprised as the person walked away. A little later, Dr. Donne Kampel, founder and chair of the Women’s Leadership Council introduced me to the Barrister Ugoji Eze, CEO of the Aja Eze Foundation that produced the program at the United Nations. She asked me what could be done to help Israel and to reduce anti-Semitism in the United States. It was a curiosity that two persons would ask me similar question within perhaps an hour and a half.
This time, I responded. My answer took perhaps twenty minutes inclusive of analysis, alternatives, and recommendations. She then told me she wanted me to speak at an anti-Semitism program that she was going to produce at the United Nations. I smiled, then agreed. Having been for five years the Principal Accredited Representative at the UN of one the largest NGOs in the world and having presented before the Fourth Committee, I was cogently aware of the sentiments of many of the key actors. Hence, I had difficulty imagining such a thing taking place. Yet, who would imagine that that the two of us who earned law degrees from English universities, she of African father and a British Jewish mother, and I, an American of Cuban heritage and some Jewish ancestry, would be blessed with the support of Ambassador Otto of Palau and later be joined by like-minded persons to make this historic program take place. Barrister Eze demonstrated prescient leadership.
Since my speech, I have had numerous requests to help apply practical and substantive ways to address anti-Semitism. I shall do my best to help.
This is a story of Hashem’s people doing His will.

I had never been to the United Nations. Held no interest for me. But, the seriousness of this conference pulled me in. Very glad I went.Post-Conference:
Had a sandwich in the cafeteria overlooking the East River (Where they CHARGE you 10 cents to use a TRAY)
Took some pictures as I wandered the halls from the third floor to the first. (lots of glitter and gold items that were donated by RICH oil emirates)
And one obnoxious set of panels that greeted the conferees as they exited the third floor elevator on the way to the Global Anti-Semitism Conference (SURELY this was NO accident)
Our exit from the building, after this spectacular conference, was made even more meaningful when these OBNOXIOUS PANELS were turned AWAY from the Exit. Go Team!

The press ran from one phot0-op to another.
One particular moment involved a man wearing a yarmulke.
Because the photographers noticed him in front of an anti-Israel banner, his presence made him the focus of the Lefties verbal abuse as they spewed their anti-Israel attacks his way.
The crowd grew impatient. So, like a pre-school class heading to another room, the voice of a ‘leader’ calls them closer to the fountain…. AND… the ‘bodies’. (Can we say PHOTO-OP?)
Street Theatre. The hallmark of the left. Creating all those photo ops. And the anticipation….as the crowd wonders: The ‘Funeral’ Procession. When will it begin? Soon. soon. (very soon) But, FIRST, we must have an OWS echo-chant.

After the slow procession ‘cross 42ndt street, they park themselves in front of the Israeli Consulate. Chanting. Anyone who has witnessed these ‘thoughtful’, ‘SILENT’ displays, knows there is NO need to suffer thru another. The fawning press will do it for you, all the while avoiding the TRUTH:

(apparently the officer said – NOT TODAY) as he was ushered back to the west side of 7th. (ah well…at least he tried) 
Israel. Jerusalem. The Middle East. The LIES: al-Quds (Jerusalem), al-Aqsa (aka the Temple Mount!), the Nakba (day of “catasrophe”) Innocents die at the hands of the Islamic Terrorists emboldened by media support. Commie support. And the “good-will of fools”. Will Truth ever prevail?
