“Working” Peoples ‘Day of Action’ – #UnRigtheSystem

Saturday, February 24, 2018, a Working People’s Day of Action.

End the Workers Struggle against Government and Corporate Greed.

Scheduled for 11 am, I arrived. Foley Square. approximately 10:45.

The SEIU and associated unions had PACKED the square with workers, cheering and jeering, as they held union banners and flags high above the crowd.

The dutiful union tools stood for hours as they watched a jumbotron, placed over the stage, while the amplification carried for blocks.

The ubiquitous SOCIALIST/ COMMIES screamed at the workers to never forget they are VICTIMS of corporate GREED.

From the Left: It takes a UNION to make things right.

When we unite, we can do almost anything. Join with us as we protect our freedoms and fight back against the corporate CEOs and politicians who have rigged the system and our economy against us.”  #UnrigtheSystem  #ItsAboutFreedom

Fight for the freedom to come together in strong unions.
Fight for equitable pay.
Fight for affordable health care.
Fight for quality schools.
Fight for vibrant communities.
Fight for a secure future for all of us.

From the Right: Public-sector unions are just RACKETEERING outfits [NY Post]

This is how a public-sector union works:
1. The State creates a monopoly.
2. The monopoly forces taxpayers to fund those workers, whether they do a good job or not.
3. The union then coerces workers to pay dues regardless of whether or not they want to.
4. Then the union uses those dues to help fund political advocacy that perpetuates their monopoly and the union’s influence.
In other words: racketeering. [NY Post]

But, the LEFT insists: “In the face of mammoth corporations and their puppet politicians […] the Right is on the wrong side of this issue.”

From the Right, a voice of reason at the “Workers Day” Facebook page: David Fisher : I hope y’all will thank Trump for the lowering of your taxes and in many instances your bonuses and wage increases .. (and)..  to tell those 300 union offices to quit embezzling from union members.

FACT: There are few BULLIES bigger than the UNION BOSS in everyday American life.”[NY Post]

From the Right [National Review) – on forced membership –

It’s estimated that at least 5.5 million government workers in 22 states are forced to pay money to unions just to keep their jobs. […] forcing people to support government-worker unions has for decades constituted one of the greatest workplace violations of First Amendment rights in U.S. history.”

Now, back to the reason for this protest/rally: Supreme Court case could deal major blow to unions in New York

“On Monday(Feb 26, 2018) the US Supreme Court will hear Janus v. AFSCME. At issue are the constitutionality of laws in 22 states — including New York — that force public employees who do not want to belong to unions to pay unions “agency fees” for bargaining collectively on their behalf.” (also know as financial core) [ NY Post]

The plaintiff Illinois state worker Mark Janus — argues that agency fees violate his First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and association by compelling him to underwrite union political activity with which he disagrees.

If the court sides with Mr. Janus […] government unions in the state could lose 20 to 30 percent of their members and money. The balance of power in state politics would shift.” [NY Post]

, the unions rally, they MUST “Mobilize, Organize, Energize.”

After all, New York’s unions collect over $860 million a year from some 1 million government employees. “[…] furthermore, the vast majority of public union political activity seeks to aid the left side of the political spectrum, as the unions are closely aligned with the Democratic and Working Families parties.” [NY Post]

Membership translates into money.

“New York’s government unions could lose up to $110 million a year in agency fee revenue. If the Supreme Court accepts these arguments […]

(CONSIDER) If stripping a political advocacy group of the power to force workers to join its efforts is a crippling event, then it’s an event worth celebrating.” [NY Post]

AFSI Protest Mahmoud Abbas’ Address to U.N. Security Council

Feb. 19, 2018. Noon  The Isaiah Wall in Ralph Bunche Park, across from the U.N. where AFSI (Americans For a Safe Israel) protested “Palestinian President” Mahmoud Abbas’ Address to U.N. Security Council.

AFSI (Americans For a Safe Israel) organized the rally,  joined by the New JDL-NY and opposed by members of the obscene Neturei Karta.

“On First A
venue, across from the United Nations in New York City, sits a small park, less than a quarter of an acre, named for Ralph Bunche, the first African-American recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize […] also home to the famous “Isaiah Wall” … which many people naturally associate with the United Nations and its peacekeeping.”
( it’s not)

Carved into granite, is the old prophesy of an obscure Hebrew itinerant, predicting a day that seems as far away now as it did then in ancient Mesopotamia– a day when “nation shall not lift up sword against nation, and neither shall we learn war any longer.”

Abbas and the lies of Yasser Arafat continue to thrive in the halls of the U.N. while thousands of years of Jewish history are IGNORED. DENIED.

[WaPo] “During a rare address to the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday, February 20th, “Palestinian” President Mahmoud Abbas called for an international Middle East peace conference to be convened by the middle of this year and slammed the Trump administration for its recognition last December of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Ambassador Haley addressed  the absent Abbas  (he left as soon as he had spoken) — Trump’s declaration in December that the United States considers Jerusalem to be Israel’s capital — ( she) told Abbas he can do nothing to reverse the U.S. position. Abbas should channel his anger into action toward a settlement and a better life for his people, Haley said.” [WaPo]

“Now in the 14th year of a four-year term, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been something of a riddle. His modest, gentlemanly demeanor was a welcome contrast to that of his thuggish predecessor, Yasser Arafat […] Underneath it all, Abbas is a two-faced, feckless leader who harbors a classic, anti-Semitic view of Jews and world history.” Abbas proves to be nothing more than a two-faced anti-Semite [Michael Goodwin: NY Post]

[JPost] “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu summed it up nicely: Abbashas torn off the mask and shown to the public the simple truth: . . . The root of the conflict between us and the “Palestinians” is their steadfast refusal to recognize the Jewish state in any borders whatsoever.”

Abbas will deliver his statement in New York only weeks after US Ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley, delivered a scathing rebuke of the Fatah (formerly the PLO) chairman’s “lack of leadership.”[JPost]

AFSI spoke in front of  “Peace Form One, a stainless-steel obelisk 50 feet (15 m) high, erected in 1980. The sculptor, Daniel LaRue Johnson

… as those peace loving Neturei Karta taunted them from above with “Down, down with Israel” and “Is-ra-el go to hell” .

Part 2 video, Irwin ….  was introduced by Helen Freedman. He then spoke eloquently for ISRAEL.

[NY Times 2-26-18] “Jerusalem. the American Embassy set to open in Jerusalem in three months … Trump administration’s decision to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem … formally recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capitalopen a temporary embassy in Jerusalem in time for the 70th anniversary of the creation of the state of Israel, on May 14 …”

“This is a great moment for the citizens of Israel, and this is an historic moment for the state of Israel,” Mr. Netanyahu said. (American officials also said on Friday that Sheldon G. Adelson, an American known for his hawkish support of Israel, had offered to help pay for the new embassy building.)”

“… the “Palestinians” .... for them, May 14 is the 70th anniversary of the “Nakba”, or “catastrophe,” when hundreds of thousands of “Palestinians” were expelled or fled their homes amid the hostilities surrounding Israel’s establishment ... this year’s anniversary could also fall on the eve of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting … Days later, “Palestinians” are likely to flock for Friday Prayer to the “Al Aqsa Mosque”  [aka THE TEMPLE MOUNT], which has often been a flash point in the conflict between Israelis and “Palestinians”...” [NY Times]

FACT: “Why the Temple Mount Belongs to Jews and Israel [FrontPageMag]

“Rarely has there been such clarity that Israel has no partner for peace. As such, the possibility of more terrorist violence cannot be minimized. Just yesterday, Israeli authorities removed a cellphone bomb from Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus in the West Bank. It was detonated by security forces not long before 1,000 Jewish worshippers were scheduled to come to the spot considered to be the burial site of the biblical patriarch.” [Michael Goodwin: NY Post]

Israel Day of Action (JDL-NY) vs anti-Israel Global Day of Action

Feb. 19, 2018 . Outside the NYC Israeli Consulate. (3:30 – 5 pm)

The usual anti-Israel protestors (the Soc/ Commie Left)  gathered along with the traitorous Neturei Karta

As part of the Free the Tamimis Global Day of Action, demonstrators gathered outside the Israeli consulate to demand freedom for Ahed Tamimi and all “Palestinian” political prisoners.

Flickr slide show

The New JDL-NY  PRO-Israel counter-protest came out loud and proud against the familiar anti-Israel protestors.  (who were also quite LOUD)

The piercing voice of Socialist Michela Martinazzi, chant leader for the LEFTists representing the”Committee to Stop FBI Repression-NY“. (Who knew one person could be so irritatingly LOUD.)

Even so, the JDL-NY did NOT back down. The anti-Israel LIES exposed as they vociferously projected their message too, “ENOUGH means ENOUGH“!

The Facebook event page from the “Free the Tamimis” Leftists included their GLOBAL mission statement for the day.

Found an obscenely detailed report on Ahed’s “innocence” from Middle East Eye  which requires only one response: FREEDOM? NO WAY! for  “TERRORIST” Ahed Tammi!

The JDL – NY demands Justice: PRISON for TERRORIST Tamimi!

But, it was not all about Ahed Tammimi. The Soc/Commie Brigades have big plans to indoctrinate, indoctrinate, indoctrinate.

A statement from the screeching chant leader,  Michela Martinazzi and one of her Socialist cohorts ,confidently revealing their plans:  “While they are in school, students and youth must become anti-imperialists, and take up the struggles of the multinational working class and oppressed nationalities and put those demands in the forefront, working to advance the interests of the people and land blows against the ruling class and their cronies.” said Ian Gallagher of FRSO, highlighting the importance of organizing in the student movement.[3]”

Besides the International Action Center (Commies) and Socialist Front at the Stop the FBI Event page, the protest was called for by the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network .

Also attended by NY4Palestine coalition and NYC Students for Justice in Palestine.

Welcomed by our  schools and media , this anti-Israel propaganda grows unabated, with no end in sight. But, only if we remain silent.

SILENCE is No Longer an Option: Am Yisrael CHAI!!

You Can’t DEPORT a Movement-Foley Sq- NYC

Feb. 10, 2018 – Foley Square, NYC
9 am to Noon

In the words of the hard-core left hosting this rally, You Can’t Deport a MOVEMENT!  “There is a new stay for Ravi’s deportation […] this moment matters now MORE THAN EVER! We must stand up for the countless thousands of Ravis and Jeans and show that we are powerful together! “

“We leave no one behind! ICE cannot target our leaders OR our communities!”

Co-Sponsoring Organizations from the LEFT include: New Sanctuary Coalition, New York Immigration Coalition, 32BJ SEIU, Bronx Immigration Partnership, Copwatch Patrol Unit, Critical Resistance, Detention Watch Network, Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM), Democratic Socialists of America, Domestic Workers Alliance, Equality Labs, Immigrant Defense Project, Interfaith Center of New York,

mPower Change, Queer Detainee Empowerment Project (QDEP), the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild, Northern Manhattan Immigration Coalition, Red Bloom / Solidarity Network, Restaurant Opportunities Center NYC, Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir, Rise and Resist, South Asian Solidarity Initiative, Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ) NYC, UnLocal, We Belong Together, WhyHunger, Workers Center of Central NY and Worker Justice Center of New York.

Video Part 1

[Face Book] “ICE is escalating its attack on immigrants and only our movement can stop them […] demand a #NEWSANCTUARYCITY”

The New Sanctuary Coalition (founded in 2007) acts as a network of interfaith congregations and organizations that stand with families and communities resisting detention and deportation.

Always encouraging to see JDL-NY giving THANKS to ICE! (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)

Still, [Face Book] moans from the LEFT droned on: “We need to stop the escalation of ICE and the president’s attacks on immigrant communities, including targeting dissidents for deportation…”

— “targeting” FELONS? BAD ICE. BAD U.S. Government —

“… (ICE) threatening Dreamers with detention, ICE efforts to infiltrate courts and churches and up to the racist rhetoric of the president and his office.”

“In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we’re asking friends and fellow activists to help hand deliver a message of love for all immigrants to ICE’s office by showing […] solidarity with Ravi, Dreamers, TPS recipients, workers, families and community members.”

“We’ll use messages of love and solidarity to combat the “good immigrant, bad immigrant” narrative. We resent the pressure on immigrants to prove their social or economic worth in order to justify their humanity.”

“This is a fight against this racist administration’s attempt to overstep the constitution and cherry pick who has the right to freedom and who will be terrorized into silence.”

“… this movement has deep roots and cannot be eradicated. We’re going to show them that you can’t deport a movement.”

Ravi’s status managed a reprieve—again: Immigrant rights activist temporarily avoids deportation.

“Justice was restored today( 2-09-18), at least temporarily, as Mr. Ragbir is now able to remain in the United States and free until the Court reviews his constitutional claims,” Ragbir’s attorney R. Stanton Jones said.

Ragbir — who has been a US resident since 1994 — has a 2001 felony fraud conviction from which prompted a 2006 order of deportation that Ragbir had successfully challenged until his arrest last month.” [NY Post]

Video Part 2 – as they did the Immigrant March

“Reps for Ragbir — the Trinidad native — also announced that they will be filing a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court on Friday against ICE, Homeland Security, the Dept. of Justice and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to permanently stop officials from attempts to deport Ragbir and for relief for other immigrants rights activists who have also been targeted for deportation.” [NY Post]

“Ragbir slammed the Trump administration’s immigration policy […] calling it “ethnic cleansing.” [NY Daily News]

++ Then at NOON to 1:30 pm, the NY March For Immigrants’ Rally gathered in Herald Square

Their reasoning and accusations (as always) IGNORE the Rule of Law as the rail against the U.S. Government: “We are appalled by this administration’s attempt to pit immigrants against each other.”

We’re protesting against the anti-immigrant policies proposed by the White House and the GOP legislators, especially the recent White House proposal to end family reunification in exchange for DACA legalization.”

“Legal Immigrants, DACA and every American who opposes the anti-immigrant agenda are joining hands to fight racism, bigotry and xenophobia. United we stand, divided we fall.”

“There are roughly 7.5 billion human beings on this planet. None of them came from outer space, so none of them are aliens. So I refuse to call any human being an alien.”

“Furthermore, no human being is “illegal.
Any law that outlaws humanity is a bad and unjust law.

Apartheid was legal. That did not make it right. The human beings breaking Apartheid laws were humans fighting for justice, not “illegals.”

The Holocaust was legal. That did not make it right. Human beings breaking Holocaust laws were humans fighting for justice, not “illegals.”

“Slavery was legal. That did not make it right. Human beings fighting against slavery laws were not “illegals.” They were human beings fighting for justice.

Segregation was legal. That not make it right. Human Beings breaking Jim Crow laws were not “illegal.” They were human beings fighting for justice.”

“The earth has no lines on it. All borders are man made.
Crossing a man made line is only a crime because people have made it one.

People crossing a man made line are still human beings. They do not deserve to be detained or tortured. It is wrong to rip their families apart for any reason.

The earth belongs to all of us and we belong to it. Any human being should be able to live, with their family, any damn place they please on this planet.”

No human being is illegal. All this deportation of human beings is wrong and racist. There is absolutely no justification for treating human beings in this way.”  (This article was written by Claire Cohen.)#March4Immigrants

FREE Ahed Tamimi AGAIN vs Act FOR Israel JDL – Penn Station

Jan 30, 2018. Penn Station. NYC. 5:30 pm. Protestors from the Hard Left and pro-“palestine” persuasions  assembled on the AMTRAK level demanding NO Jail For Terrorist Ahed Tamimi, while making it impossible for the AMTRAK commuters to hear the boarding announcements.

Joining in the fray, was the  JDL- NY. They countered the lies on the Left with a bold display of SUPPORT FOR Israel. SILENCE is NOT the answer. The TRUTH must be seen and heard.
We heard many JDL proclamations of support FOR Israel as well as the declarations: “Go back to Jordan” and (in reference to Ahed Tamimi) “Terrorist, Terrorist”, “In Jail-NO Bail”.

Both sides made the most of this NO TIME FOR SILENCE, the NY Transit police, the National Guard and the State Police were brought in to keep order and to create a path – BUILDING a WALL of law enforcement.
A  passage for all to pass by  without feeling intimidated by the “fakestinian” protestors.
The Penn Station protest was led by Nerdeen Kiswani of NYC SJP (Students for Justice in Palestine)- seen here at another Tamimi protest in Union Sq (12-22-17)

Some of the other players from the LEFT this evening include:  Nancy Mansour (aka Harrabic Tubman) fromExistence is Resistance”. She resurfaced it seems (been in “palestine” for quite awhile)

The ever present capos, the Neteuri Karta, taunted their FELLOW Jews with “Go To Hell” and “DROP DEAD“.

And the shameful Jewish Voice For Peace.
Some of the international reporters: William Denselow TRT World – NY is funded in whole or in part by the Turkish government.

SABC(South Africa) Sherwin Bryce-Pease, interviewing JDL’s, Jim MacDonald.

Activist Nick Maniace of Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network.
International Action Committee – Sara Flounders (seen here in Union Square  – Dec Tamimi protest)

Part 1 video – The chants – back and forth – were so LOUD. Obviously no commuters were going to hear any track announcements for a couple of hours.

Part 2  video – The AMTRAK and NY State Police and the National Guard arrived to make room for the commuters and to “Build a Wall” .

They will be back. (Again and Again)

January 29, 2018. Outside NYC Federal Plaza.

Ravi Ragbir, 43, was arrested Jan. 11, 2018 during a scheduled appointment with federal officials. Ragbir worked as the head of the New Sanctuary Coalition, an advocacy group assisting people facing detention and deportation.
He had been granted permanent residency in 1994, but it was revoked after a wire fraud conviction six years later. SO, on this day, they gathered outside the Federal Building

I covered the Jericho Walk previously in 2011. Led by Ragbir they marched ’round and ’round the Federal Building – SEVEN times –  as in the Walls of Jericho and looking like Fascisti every time they paused to do their HEIL salute. (picture from 2011 walk).

IMG_0482 copy

“Ravi Ragbir, New Sanctuary’s organizer, in addition to being a well-known immigrant rights activist in the New York metro area, is himself an immigrant at risk of deportation. He is also from the War Resisters League” Inside Immigrant Prisons

In 2011, Ravi Ragbir (lower left in screen grab) spoke defiantly about being in the U.S. ILLEGALLY.

Now, in 2018, under arrest and finally facing deportation, his Sanctuary Movement cohorts walked the Jericho Walk, sans Ragbir, around the Fed Building .

SILENTLY reciting the Jericho Prayer to show solidarity with their “immigrant brothers and sisters.

The JDL was there, too, in support of American Immigration Law. (video is of 2018 walk).

The JDL presence caused a few of the Sanctuary Prayer-Walkers to behave in contradiction to their SILENT Walk instructions: Walk around building. Say silent prayer 7 times and when you stop, raise “Heil” hands in front of Fed Building. BE SILENT.A young female walker (dressed all in black) assaulted one JDL member by ripping his sign. (beginning at 4:02 in video)

After an older woman accused them of being “uneducated Trump Voters” (starting at 3:20) another malcontent (an older fellow in blue hoodie) was VERY vocal (not silent at all) as he tediously taunted with, “Fake News. Yes, Fox Fake News. Believe your alternative facts  … Babies don’t break laws … Keep America WHITE Again“.
Then there was the press. THEIR press. Eager to record this sacred gathering in support of DACA.
One familiar photographer, Sandi Bachom, got her 15 minutes last year when she went AGAINST Mayor de Blasio’s failed attempt at shutting down the Central Park Hansom Cabs. She got that one right. ONE. The rest of the time she’s out cheer-leading for every Hard Left campaign she can cover.

Today she should have just filmed – instead of her unfortunate attempts at ‘gotcha’ reporting (in the video at 1:31) : “Make America Great Again? Getting rid of all immigrants. Who told you this, Donald Trump? Where’d ja read that, on Brietbart? Where did you  first hear about it (Ragbir) I never heard about it til last week ….Where’d ja hear about it? Ja hear about it on Info wars? Alex Jones? You know what that is?” Getting NO where with such embarrassing questions, she slank away with a “thank you”.
Meanwhile, the JDL held their ground while quietly protesting as the Jericho protestors walked 7 times around the building. Other than the bad-players in the walk, it was a very quiet event.

Later that afternoon: Manhattan judge orders immigration activist Ravi Ragbir released from custody

A federal judge ordered immigration activist Ravi Ragbir be released from custody on Monday, granting him a temporary reprieve from deportation to his native Trinidad and Tobago.

In a seven-page decision, Manhattan Federal Court Judge Katherine Forrest wrote that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents had violated Ragbir’s rights to due process.

“The court finds that when this country allowed (Ragbir) to become a part of our community fabric, allowed him to build a life with and among us and to enjoy the liberties and freedom that come with that, it committed itself to allowance of an orderly departure when the time came, and it committed itself to avoidance of unnecessary cruelty when the time came,” Forrest wrote.

“By denying (Ragbir) these rights, the government has acted wrongly.”

She wrote that Ragbir was “entitled to the freedom to say goodbye” — indicating the activist still faces eventual deportation. [NY Daily News]

The Constitution commands better,” says Manhattan Federal Court Judge Katherine Forrest. (really?)
Encouraged by Mayor de Blasios’s Sanctuary City Movement, this Manhattan Federal Court Judge ignored U.S. Immigration Law, supporting those who have no respect for the Rule of Law. Anarchy? Is that the ticket?

NYC Federal Plaza, DACA and the “Trump” Govt Shutdown

DACA supporters and the Govt Shutdown gathered for a presser just a few hours before the Democrats caved and ended Schumer’s Government Shutdown. January 22, 2018. Federal Plaza. NYC

The New Jewish Defense League (JDL) was also outside Federal Plaza demanding “Americans before Illegals” and “Vets before Illegals”.

FLICKR slide show of both sides.

Interestingly, these Hard Core Lefties continued their temper tantrum protest outside Schumer’s Brooklyn home later that evening. Though they still blamed Trump for the Schumer shutdown, they were LIVID that Schumer caved before securing (another) AMNESTY for ILLEGALS

Say YES to DACA. Yes to DREAMERS. Creating more illegal voters for the Democrat Party with each amnesty.

Part 1 video- It all began with chants, chants, chants (in Spanish, of course) and the MC, Ricardo Aca, informing us that he is a DACA recipient from Make The Road NY.

Part 2 video – Two Speakers- A Security Officer from the Statue of Liberty Island shared how she felt the “TRUMP” Government Shutdown would be affecting people like herself and Alice Fisher, founder & director of The Radical Age Movement spoke for NYC’s older adults in the same vein:

”Trump is hoping that older white people like me will turn on Dreamers, that we will buy into his bigoted and hateful plan. But seniors are wise, and we know better. Many of us are the children and grandchildren of another century’s dreamers…NYC’s older adults will not be duped by this administration…”

Part 3 video – Introductions by Make the Road NYDaniel Altschuler for NY City Councilman, Carlos Menchaca, who represents Council District 38.  He is New York State’s first Mexican-American elected official and Brooklyn’s first openly gay office holder.

Also included, from the New ACORN, Renata Pumarol. She is the Communications & Social Media Director at New York Communities for Change (NYCC). NYCC is a leading “progressive” organization in New York building “people-power” thru neighborhood, tenant and worker organizing.

Part 4- video – From Make The Road NY, a Spanish speaker (interpreted by Daniel Altschuler)…

… followed by an interview with Karen from the New Jewish Defense League (JDL),  making a brief statement of FACT to NY1.

They are never done. They will never stop til they have OPEN BORDERS.
