Protest Linda Sarsour & the New School anti-Semitism Panel

November 28, 2017  – Stop the LIES.
Resist anti-Semitism at NEW School. Resist Sarsour, JVP and JFREJ.

The New School offered an event panel that was supposed to deal with anti-Semitism.

Unfortunately all the speakers: Linda Sarsour, Rebecca Vilkomerson(JVP), Leo Ferguson(Jews for Racial and Economic Justice) and Lina Morales (JVP) were anti-Semites.

The JDL handout summed up exactly who the speakers were inside:

JDL, AFSI and others were outside the event to set the record straight.

“We handed out flyers. We engaged in “open dialogue” and some singing with Realize Israel -a pro Israel College group from NYU.”

“We addressed an anti-Semitic event. We educated people on the street.”

“Everyone did a great job!” https://www.facebook.com/JDLNYC/

JDL- NY counters JVP Boycott of Israel Birthright Gala

December 3, 2017 – 33 E. 33rd St- NYC. 12:30 PM.  JDL – NY was there, countering the JVP Boycott of the Israel Birthright Gala. Even though the gala was postponed, the RETURN the Birthright protest was still on.

“Birthright was criticized by liberal Jewish groups last month after it announced that it would no longer bring groups to meet Arab-Israelis, a move the organization claimed was only temporary.

So, JVP has  pledged to refrain from the sponsored trips, saying more than 1,000 people have already signed.” [Forward]

Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP)want the Birth Right trip to include “palestine” and Gaza, so they can see the oppressed “palestinians”.

They allege the trip is racist. They allege the trip doesn’t show all sides of Israel. They allege that Birth-Right is Birth-WRONG.

This is preposterous and anti-Semitic. JVP does NOT speak for U.S. Jews!

Time to get LOUD! Time to STAND WITH ISRAEL!” The New Jewish Defence League NY

Anti-Zionists Protest Israel Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall – again

October 25th, 2017, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) gave a concert & gala at Carnegie Hall.  This was fantastic, yes?

Nope. These anti-Israel / anti-Zionist groups did not agree.

They organized ANOTHER anti-Israel protest outside Carnegie Hall aimed at de-legitimizing the State of Israel. AGAIN.

Each year, anti-Zionists return to protest the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra [IPO]. (For previous IPO Carnegie Hall protests, follow links to 2011 and 2012.)

Fortunately, their lies and hateful anti-Semitism did NOT go unchallenged.

The Jewish Defence League and other Zionists were there to “Stand Up For Israel”, to “Stop the lies” and “Stop the hate!”

AM YISRAEL CHAI!

Some anti-Israel protest chants compliments of Adalah NY and the other anti-Zionists.

Protest musical accompaniment- OUTSIDE Carnegie – was provided by the eponymous, Rude Mechanical Orchestra. Facebook.

Adalah, however, remains OFFENDED the IPO representing the State of Israel across the world. “Let the IPO know that apartheid is out of tune.”

“It (the IPO)”, says Adalah, “serves as a cultural ambassador for the State of Israel, playing a public role in the official Israeli propaganda campaign. Brand Israel uses art and music to distract attention from Israel’s human rights ‘abuses’ and ‘ethnic cleansing’ of the ‘Palestinian’ people.”

Adalah claims that, “the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is not an apolitical cultural institution.”

“We (Adalah and other anti-Zionists) are responding to the call from ‘Palestinian’ civil society to boycott cultural institutions that are complicit in Israel’s ‘systematic repression’ of the Palestinian people living under Israeli ‘military occupation’ in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as unequal citizens in Israel or as refugees denied their right of return to their homeland.”

BTW- Adalah (the protest host for the evening) was connected in 2007 to the infamous Intifada NYC T-shirt .

Former Brooklyn Principal, Debbie Almontaser, defended the t-shirts, telling the NY Post that “intifada” meant “shaking off”, that the shirts represented women “shaking off” oppression. …. Peace be upon you ….

And now, the REAL STORY behind the Israel Philharmonic and its ORIGINS:

“Since its inception in 1936, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra has been dedicated to presenting exceptional music to audiences in Israel and throughout the world. From its inaugural concert, conducted by Arturo Toscanini, world-renowned soloists and conductors have performed with the IPO.

On December 26, 1936, the Palestine Symphony played its first concert in Tel Aviv under the baton of Arturo Toscanini. A staunch anti-Fascist, the legendary conductor enthusiastically accepted Huberman’s request to join the Symphony as a demonstration against Nazism, declaring, “I am doing this for humanity.”

“The public reception to this inaugural performance was overwhelming, with crowds standing outside near the windows and even climbing on rooftops in an attempt to hear the Symphony. The ovation at the end of the night lasted over 30 minutes.”

“The IPO is Israel’s foremost cultural ambassador and travels throughout the world, particularly to countries where there is little or no Israeli representation. In some cases, performances of the IPO are the only example of Israel’s existence.”

“The goodwill created by these tours, which included historic visits to Japan, Argentina, Poland, Hungary, Russia, China and India, is of enormous value to the State of Israel.”

Unfortunately, the anti-Israel protests never stop; good-will be damned.

NEXT WEEK, on Thursday, November 2,  I found two more anti-Israel events. FYI: November 2nd, 2017 marks the 100 year anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.

“At 5:30 pm, outside Israeli Embassy at 42nd St and 2nd Ave, a rally to “protest 100 years since the Balfour Declaration, to protest 100 years of colonization”, hosted by NYC Students for Justice in Palestine . The SJP claims that the Balfour Declaration was the first step toward the objective of political Zionism. [Face Book]

They will gather to protest the continued occupation of “Palestine” by Israeli Zionist forces.”

Also, at the United Nations, on November 2, 2017, from 3 PM4:30 PM, “100 yrs of the Balfour Declaration and impact on Palestinians” · Hosted by United Nations Division for Palestinian Rights.

The LIES Never Stop.

“The United Nations Palestinian Rights Committee cordially invites you to a lecture on the Balfour Declaration and the impact it has had on the Palestinian people. The lecture will be delivered by Professor Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University and director of the Middle East Institute of Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs in the ECOSOC Chamber of the United Nations Secretariat in New York. It will bring together a broad range of participants, including members of the diplomatic community in New York, UN staff members, representatives of civil society organizations and the general public.”[Face Book]

Raise Your Voice, No Muslim Ban Ever Prayer Vigil NYC

“Raise Your Voice” Prayer Vigil in Foley Square – October 15, 2017 – 6 pm (The JDL was there too – in SUPPORT of travel RESTRICTIONS)

“On October 18th, the newest Muslim Ban will fully go into effect. Our coalition is mobilizing supporters to go to Washington that same day, but we’re also organizing for candlelight vigil the weekend before. As this administration continues to exclude thousands of people with discriminatory policy, we stand up and fight back… to show the world that New Yorkers stand with our brothers and sisters affected by the Muslim Ban! #NoMuslimBanEver”

This event began with Debbie Almontaser (Intifada NYC T shirt) as she announced the Maghreb Prayer, with a look at the crowd and the JDL protestors;  then an excerpt of the Maghreb prayer. (video 1)

After the Maghreb prayer Almontaser introduced the groups, many progressive Jewish Groups, that supported the march, rally, prayer vigil.

FYI- The Facebook info-link for the Wednesday – October 18 – No Muslim Ban March and Rally in DC

#NoMuslimBanEver Campaign, was a grassroots awareness and mobilization effort that “happened” in the weeks leading up to and on October 18, 2017, when the newest “Muslim Ban” went into effect.

Dr. Almontaser is currently President of The Board Of Directors of the Muslim Community Network. The Muslim Community Network identifies and cultivates the leadership skills of all Americans to fully participate in the social landscape.

” MCN’s strategies include creating strong relationships with other faith-based communities; articulating and advancing an understanding of the need for citizen engagement; developing the skills and ability of our community to affect change; and building the next generation’s identity and capacity as leaders.

  • Social Justice Framework – We use a social justice framework to encourage engagement in addressing the root causes of inequality.
  • Inclusion, Unity, and Diversity – We work with all of New York’s diverse Muslim and non-Muslim communities. We value diverse leadership and voices.  We seek to facilitate the emergence of a Muslim identity that transcends generational, ethnic, gender, racial and class-based boundaries.
  • Mutual Consultation – We believe in mutual consultation as a decision making process which works to build consensus and cooperation among diverse opinions, identities and experiences.
  • Self Determination  — We create spaces for all New Yorkers to engage one another and take an active role in their society. Rather than attempt to represent all Muslims or New Yorkers, we prefer to bring people to the table to represent themselves.
  • Empowerment – We facilitate individual and community empowerment by providing spaces for reflection and consciousness-raising within the Muslim community, which develops the confidence and self-reliance necessary for the realization of power.
  • Partnership – We value partnership as a means of effectively expanding the ways in which we can serve multiple communities through multiple methods.
  • Creating Connections – We do not seek to reinvent the wheel, but rather to connect those with experience and expertise to audiences that can benefit from their teachings.

We believe that social justice is both a goal and a process. We also believe in supporting the Muslim community to not just actively work to assure its own civil rights, but the rights of other groups as well. We believe in cultivating cross-generational leadership which will serve as a foundation for the building truly inclusive communities.”

New JDL – NY says “Honor the Victims not the Killer, Rasmea Odeh

At 4:30 pm, Monday, August 14th. The anti-Israel Left held a rally to CELEBRATE murderess Rasmea Odeh (an ICON of Resistance) in Union Square Park.

“We urge all to join us on 14 August in NYC to show our love and support for Rasmea Odeh before her sentencing in federal court three days later in Detroit. This will be her last court appearance and Rasmea is planning to make a statement.

Rally to support Rasmea Odeh Hosted by Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network

The plea agreement that has already been reached states that Rasmea will not get additional jail time – but she will have to leave the U.S. This rally will express our support for a legendary former political prisoner and beloved community leader.

This rally will express our support for a legendary former political prisoner and beloved community leader. This rally will express our support for a legendary former political prisoner and beloved community leader. Gather on the steps in the southern plaza.” [Face Book]

They were endorsed by an obscenely LONG list of puppet and ghost organizations:

Brooklyn For Peace

BUT, the New-JDL had a counter-demonstration to “Honor the Victims NOT the Killer, Rasmea Odeh”.

They were there to counter the Samidoun LIES with FACTS: Rasmea Odeh is a terrorist convicted of the murder of two young Jews, Edward Joffe and Leon Kanner on Feb. 21st, 1969.

They were killed in an explosion in an Israeli market. Odeh murdered them, yet she was being honored  at a rally in Union Square Park.

“The public must be made aware that she is a convicted murderer and not a victim. The public must be made aware that Edward and Leon are the victims. Please join us and help fight the lies of radical Islamics and their supporters.” [Face Book]

The JDL gathered “at the steps in the southern plaza” before the Samidoun arrived, creating a dilemma of sorts for the anti-Zionists. Now they couldn’t display their signs on the steps as planned.

Video 1

But, did they have a Plan B? Perhaps not, as the Samidoun stood around laughing, smirking and pointing at the JDL while they pondered what to do next.

A decision was finally made to walk in a circle (they love going round and round) and that they did while chanting “Racists go Home”.

VIDEO – 2

Eventually, some of the younger terrorist-lovers did the predictable, standing in front of the JDL signs. Then some of the younger JDL’s became more vocal as they two sides edged closer and closer  finally coming nose to nose just as the NYPD arrived.

Video 3

The JDL counter-protest was VERY successful proving it does NOT take an army to weaken the resolve of these radicals – even though that may be brief – it was FUN to watch their confusion. They obviously expected only SUPPORT for their murderous darling, Rasmea Odeh.

Interestingly, the NYPD officers seemed almost bemused as they placed barricade after barricade between the two groups, building a Wall to keep the PEACE.

Maybe there’s something to be said for walls, PEACE and safety from the violent animus of WAR-mongers like Samidoun and Hamas.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas share certain goals and values. To each, it is not a question of whether a peaceful settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is possible. It never will be acceptable. What is acceptable is violence against civilians. [investigative project]

SO, Goodbye and Good Riddance to Rasmieh Odeh

The creation of a state of terror, instability and panic in the souls of the Zionists” is a goal spelled out in the Islamic Jihad’s internal bylaws […] Hamas unveiled an updated charter this year […] it remains committed to never recognizing Israel’s right to exist and demands “the full and complete liberation of Palestine : “from the river to the sea”.

In other words, no peace while Israel exists.

Rasmieh Odeh bombed that grocery store before either group was created [Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad] so America has lost a pioneer in Palestinian terrorism. Take note of who grieves for that loss more than the loss of life she caused. [investigative project]

== UPDATE on Reparations PAYBACK 2017==

Norway Demands Palestinians Repay Funds and U.S. Congress Cheers. No moneys can be  used to HONOR KILLERS like Terrorist and Murderess, Dalal Mughrabi

A total of 38 Israelis, including 13 children, were killed and 72 were wounded by Dalal Mughrabi [eight other militants died as well as Mughrabi]

Leaked photos of Dalal Mughrabi’s remains in a Palestinan propaganda leaflet which purports to show former PM Ehud Barak taking a suicide belt off of Mughrabi.

Members of the US Congress are hailing Norway’s recent actions and calling for Washington to take similar steps.

Congressman Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) recently introduced an amendment to an appropriations bill that would have prohibited US funds from being used by the PA to publicly honor terrorists. The amendment was disqualified by the House Rules Committee on a technicality, but Sarah Stern — the president of the Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET) — said that she and her colleagues will be working with members of Congress to reintroduce a similar amendment “at the earliest opportunity.” [Pamela Geller, Jewish Breaking News]

NEXT: THE LIES CONTINUE on SEPT 19 from 6 PM – 8 PM at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza – outside the U.N. “From the U.S. to Palestine” (#BuildMovementsNotWalls). Hosted by American Muslims for Palestine – NJ Chapter and Jewish Voice for Peace-New York City.

Tell Roger Waters “No BDS Here!” at the Belasco Theatre

“Music is intended to transcend political barriers and promote cultural exchange, pluralism, and diversity. Instead, Roger Waters is promoting hate. The Jewish Defense League will continue to take actions against Roger Waters until he renounces antisemitism in all of its forms, including the unjust boycott of the Jewish state.” [Face Book]

Video below of Waters arriving to a chorus of “Shame on you” at the  Sept 10th protest :

The Belasco Theatre, where the equally despicable, Michael Moore is appearing in  his failed Broadway show, “THE TERMS OF MY SURRENDER“.

Roger Waters has been a vocal advocate for BDS and anti-Israel rhetoric making it imperative that organizations like the JDL and AFSI hit the streets in opposition to his anti-Israel, anti Jewish animus.

Still, many of the passersby outside the Belasco had never heard about the anti- Jewish, anti-Israel agit-prop supported by Waters (and Moore).

Many, like this woman, were sorry they had tickets for the Barclay Center.

Roger Waters may be a giant to some, but this is one despicable human being coming to Brooklyn’s Barclay Center on September 11th and 12th.

Advocates FOR Israel will be outside the Center NOT welcoming him:  “WE DON’T NEED NO ROGER WATERS!”

They will carry signs like, “BDS NOT WELCOME HERE!”,  “HELL NO! ROGER MUST GO!” and “Say NO to Roger Waters” and ENOUGH!

Silence equals complicity.

Silence permits anti-Semitism to grow.

We must be SILENT NO MORE!

JDL Rally For Jewish Prayer at Temple Mount NOW!

“Muslim and Christian clerics say that Temple Mount “belongs only to Muslims” [Pamela Geller]

LET OUR PEOPLE PRAY!

Rally Jewish Prayer at Temple Mount NOW!
Thursday Aug 10, 2017. 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Israeli Consulate – NYC

Across from the Israeli Consulate, NYC
They will hear us say-
“Today is the day!
Let Jews pray!!”

The Temple Mount is ours!
End the arrests!
End the harassment!
Let Jews Pray!!!!!

August 10, 2017 – It was a small protest. The New JDL-NY and friends gathered outside the Israeli Consulate.

The consulate is very close to the ‘hallowed’ decaying walls of the United Nations and their blatant pro-“palestine”, anti-Israel bias, as this large display of LIES mounted during the “2014 Anti-Semitism Conference” made very apparent. Palestine, Good. Israel, Bad.

What else could we expect from an organizations run by dicto-crats who hate Western values and the Jews and Israel. Which brings us back to “Let Jews PRAY at THEIR Temple Mount!

Inside of welcoming their thoughtful protest with kind words, the cowards in the Israeli Consulate spent more time worrying, quizzing and HOPING that this quiet band of PRO-Israel New Yorkers would Go AWAY. “Why are you are here. How long. Oh? Well, we didn’t know you were coming.

Pfizer Building security was very concerned. “You and your signs can’t lean on our building. Touch our building.  Step away from our building. Thank you.

Flickr slide show:

DSC_7023

Crossing the avenue to the public sidewalk in front of the Israeli Consulate I was told to LEAVE – the sidewalk- by someone who came from inside the Consulate.

Him, “You can’t take pictures of the protesters across the avenue. Or film. You must move. You can’t take pictures.”

Me, “It’s a public sidewalk, sir.”

Him, “I’m Jewish, too. But, I am asking you nicely to leave.”

Me (nicely), “I will take my pictures of my friends. I’m blocking no one on this public sidewalk. Then I will leave.”

Him, “This is about security.”

Me, ” I’m not a security problem.  Just a person taking pictures of my friends — on a public sidewalk.”

Him, walking away, shaking his head as I continued to take pictures.

Take NOTE- people in the Irish Bar – two doors over (approximately where I wound up – inside a concrete berm so I would NOT block the sidewalk)  THEY were chatting stationery objects in a public walk-way.No problem for the consulate. But MOI, “Move along. You can’t film or take pictures of the people ACROSS the avenue.

As I finished and headed back to the west side of Second Avenue, the NYPD security follow me- REPEATING the same silliness about not taking pictures … from a public sidewalk. He knows I broke no laws, which I politely repeated, and then he said the predictable, “Thank you for your co-operation.”

On the plus side, passersby in vehicles and on foot were PLEASED that the “Let The Jews PRAY” had come out in support of Israel and the Temple Mount.  New York is not completely lost to the anti- Israel lobby.

Too bad the residents of the Israeli Consulate didn’t appreciate support when they SAW it.

The time is NOW. Jews are being arrested for praying at our holiest site, The Temple Mount. A Jewish man was just given a restraining order forbidding him from going to The Temple Mount because he got married there.

The Temple Mount is Jewish. It’s OUR holiest site.

The demand is simple: Israel must immediately abolish the “status quo” and allow Jewish prayer and worship on the Temple Mount.

Please join us on Thursday, August 10th at 4:30pm. Bring your Israeli flags. Bring American flags. Bring signs demanding to end the “status quo” and allow Jewish prayer at The Temple Mount now.

Now is the time! We have waited long enough!!

This protest is being held jointly with the phone-in protest hosted by Take Back the Temple Mount.

Next – up/ Coming soon – and returning like a bad dream on Sept 24, 2017: The 32nd Annual Muslim Day Parade : “BUILDING BRIDGES”. (Oh, yeah that’s the ticket to the Temple Mount- ya think?”)
