Barnard College hosts anti-Israel panel “BREAKING BARS: Fighting Incarceration from the U.S. to Palestine”

Thursday August 2, 2018 (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) Barnard College, New York City, the latest bastion of higher-ed to become a shameful conduit for anti-Israel animus.

They offered an intimate discussion between two groups on the front-lines —  fighting incarceration and supporting prisoners — one in Palestine, the other in the U.S. — and how we can understand these shared systems of domination and resist them.” [Algemeiner]

Addameer (Arabic for conscience), is a Ramallah-based outfit accused of ties with the “Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Barnard chose to “Stand with ADDAMEER”, a “Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association” working for “political prisoners” held in Israeli and Palestinian prisons. “Addameer vs Israel“.

How much more “effed up” can our centers of education become?

The New JDL- NY was there, outside Barnard, in protest and to Stand With Israel.

“…. after a “difficult past semester” — during which Barnard students voted to endorse a divestment campaign against Israel in a referendum — “it is dismaying to see the College further used to discomfort members of its community.” [Algemeiner]

Barnard College, shame on you.

Addameer has called attempts to link it to the PFLP part of a “smear” campaign. According to Jewish Virtual Library, the PFLP has been involved in various suicide bombings, airplane hijackings and an assassination.” [Jewish Journal]

Addameer, according to NGO Monitor, has several members who are either currently in Addameer, or were formerly in the organization, that have extensive ties with the PFLP.

For instance, Addameer’s chairperson, Abdul-latif Ghaith, is currently in the midst of an Israeli travel ban due to his PFLP membership. Addameer vice-chairperson Khalida Jarrar was convicted of belonging to the PFLP and calling for violence against Israeli soldiers, serving prison time as a result.

Yacoub Odeh,an Addameer board member, was sentenced to life in prison for his PFLP membership and was only released as part of a prisoner exchange.

Barnard College to Host Prisoners’ Group Accused of Ties With Palestinian Terrorists

The speakers this evening were:

  • Lana Ramadan, Addameer’s International Advocacy Officer, was born in Dheisheh refugee camp, near Bethlehem in the West Bank. She’s worked with Badil Refugee Resource Centre and been active in community activities, such as Dabke. She studied Human Rights and International Law in the joint Al Quds University and Bard College program and has a Master in Human Rights from London School of Economics.
  • David Joseph Deutch, or DJ, Addameer’s Advocacy Coordinator, is a native of Australia who has worked with indigenous Australian youth, asylum seeker children, Amnesty International Australia and the UN in New York and Palestine. He is now Addameer’s Advocacy Coordinator. He studied Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Sydney and has a Master in Public Administration at Columbia University in New York.
  • Laura Whitehorn served 14+ years(of a 20 year sentence) in US federal prison as an “anti-imperialist political prisoner“. She was convicted for the “Resistance Conspiracy” case, which involved attacks on US and Israeli military installations and companies. [FYI- she BOMBED the headquarters of the Israeli Aircraft Industry right here in NYC]  In 2016, she was part of a delegation with other former “political prisoners”, labor organizers, and academics to Palestine.

Laura Whitehorn is a proud anti-Zionist Jew.  She was charged with conspiracy to influence, change, and protest policies and practices of the United States government by violent and illegal means

In the 60s, Whitehorn was active in the “civil rights” movement, supported the Black Panther Party, the Black Liberation Movement, the New Afrikan Independence Movement and Puerto Rican IndependenceWhitehorn also lists fighting the KKK and organized white supremacy.

She advocates the creation of ANOTHER Islamic State – in the Middle East, those “BASTIONS of Equality!

The Adameer members at Barnard were joined by Release Aging People in Prison – RAPP ; Jewish Voice for Peace-New York City.

Release Aging People in Prison/RAPP works to end mass incarceration and promote racial justice by getting elderly and infirm people out of prison.

The Barnard fools and tools welcomed these terrorist organizations, presenting them as voices of reason and proclaiming “Incarceration to be a system of domination”.

The new Barnard school motto, perhaps: “Breaking Bars. RESIST! Resist! Resist!”

Ocasio-Cortez leads panel “Immigrant Arts & Women’s Empowerment Summit” 2018 at Jewish Heritage Museum

Day 2 of the “Immigrant Arts & Women’s Empowerment Summit 2018″ at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in lower Manhattan. August 7, 2018. 10:30 am.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was on a panel named: The Future is Female: Mobilizing and Organizing Women Through The Arts”.

We are ALL Immigrants was the meme of the day, presented by the Immigrant Arts Coalition. (click picture to enlarge)

Entertainment unions were on hand as well: Local 802 (Musicians Union) and SAG/AFTRA as well as the Writers Guild. (click picture on right to enlarge/ link to sag -aftra readable version on left)

Barbara D. Underwood, NY State Attorney General,
opened with a very brief speech:

Underwood mentioned, DACA Dreamers, Right to Choose, teen immigrants. Then she read lyrics from Rodger & Hammerstein’s “Carefully Taught”. Quoted the Statue of Liberty poem . Shared that, as Attorney General, she is proud of battles fought to help our communities. Stressed that conversations with artists here and abroad, important contributions.

Before the panel began, the chairs in the room went through an embarrassing removal of unused seats. (Obviously attendance was not what they expected).

The loud clanking of the chair removal, the rows of chairs and the panel table rearranged, went on for awhile. Finally, rows of chairs were added down front, closer to the panel. This was the last shuffle before the panel commenced.

The introduction to the panel said this was a panel of six sisters, using arts to mobilize women. (She affectionately shared Puerto Rican  sisterhood with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez).

Some quotes from Ruth Messinger, who seemed to be the grand dame of the panel: “Honor those who were originally on this planet. We need to learn to listen. Telling stories. Use the arts to tell their story. Social Change repeats over and over. We’re all by-standers. Can’t afford to be by-standers. Where do you stand? Put yourself forward. Some will disagree with you, but only way change is made. Every person in country is an immigrant. They don’t all know it. Stories lost (through the generations/assimilation) We’re from “here” is a story lost. What will they (can) they teach? 2020 is soon here. VOTE. You must!

The New JDL NY was outside the Museum of Jewish Heritage while this reporter was inside to hear the panel that included the Dem-Socialist flavor of the month, Alexandria Ocasio-CortezThis was the best picture I could capture of the JDL.

Do appreciate this link to a twitter picture

The panel.  The summit. Immigrants In America. The Future. Women. The Arts.

Part 1 video. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was on a panel named: The Future is Female: Mobilizing and Organizing Women Through The Arts”.

Transcribed excerpts from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, “It’s because there’s so much fear over being different in our politics […] and, I think, that what we hadn’t shown is that you can really lean into who you are and not be afraid of being ostracized. Because, I think, people are just kind of craving any sort of unique voice right now. […] yeah, I feel like, really,  often times, especially in political language, there’s always this, this opposite (uh) impulse. Like a consultant will come in and say, “Oh,we have to compensate for everything that you are.” You know (laughter) so if your like a first generation immigrant and they’ll like over-compensate with (like) the super-Americana (like) patriotic, stars and stripes kind a thing. And (uh) and it’s because — and they’re implicitly telling you what they think you’re not, because of who you are. Instead of saying you could be all of those things. You know, you can be a first generation patriot, if, you know, if that’s who you are. Because you can be these things. And we are (in) contradictions. But yeah, sometimes if, if you’re like (um) you know, if you’re a woman they’ll try to kind of put you in like those — big shoulder pads (laughter) and, you know, make you a little more masculine. And it’s like, you don’t have to compensate for who you are. You can just, if anything, you should lead-in more. And, I think, these opportunities, whether they’re intentional or not, once you become a part (like) IN the public eye, it’s an opportunity to kind of lead-in and embrace and grow into more of who you are than trying to apologize or shrink-down or moderate who you are. […] And, that’s what they have done, and said, “Oh, we are morally superior. We are the party of “Family Values”. So, we’re so going to separate children from their parents at the border.”

Aizzah Fatima: “All because they’re brown children. If they were white children they would never do that.” (more chatter – unclear – about brown people)

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez : “Yeah, and so, I think that, um, they have gone so obviously off-track … like … I struggle to think, at this point, of a thing that they are doing right, to be honest (um) that, I think, it’s easier if we can just claim it. But I just think that (um) and I also, I just rejected left/right frame-work cause I just don’t think that’s how people really operate (um) And we just quash things down into this left/right lens cause it’s easier for us. But that’s not how people really work. But, anyway, like, I would say that, on the “left”, there’s been this reluctance to say, “Oh, don’t moralize the issues.” And I push-back on that because, like, we are in a time of right and wrong. We are making, you know, in the ’90’s when we were…. people were talking about tax-breaks and trade-deals where, I would still argue still have some moral basis. But when they try to, kind of (um), actually make it a little bit more abstract, (unclear) you can’t moralize these issues. But the issues today are moral. I think, I think every single (gasp), you know, my right to health care is a moral issue. The idea that we have the largest population of homeless people since the great depression in New York City is, is a moral issue. The fact that there are three empty luxury apartments for every one person experiencing homelessness is a moral issue. The fact that kids are going into (uh) trailers in the back of their schools to get an education because we won’t build schools, is a moral issue. All these things are moral. And (um) I’m not, you know – And that’s the frame by which I access my politics, you know. I don’t, I don’t look at politics as (unclear). My tax cut is going to get me more. I will get, my politics, I look at politics as what is the right thing to do. And how do we get closer to that. So, I think it’s okay to, to embrace  — how you access your politics. And you should embrace (unclear) … And for me, I ask,”Is there a moral framework.” (applause)

Part 2 video. Panelist, progressive Ruth Messinger, chimed in on the issue of MORALITY as she gave support to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,

Transcribed excerpts video 2 begins with Ruth Messinger responding to Ocasio-Cortez, “Equity and inequity are fierce moral issues. (um) And we have (unclear) generalization that has ceded this language to people who claim themselves, proudly, to be “pure of faith”, “people of morality”,  and to connect their faith with their morality. But they are, and I think this is important for the fight we have in front of us, they are actually, in significant numbers (unclear), they are uncomfortable. They’ve been talking about morality for a long time and now they’re supporting a person and a party and candidates in elections who are saying some of the most unbelievably immoral, inequitable and unjust things about brown children; about segregated school systems; about failures of health care. And so this is actually the moment for progressives to reclaim the language and say, “It doesn’t matter, ” as Alexandra just said, “if your morals come from a faith-base or not.” Frankly, if you want to share that faith-base, or not, there are moral issues (um) that, in fact, influence how every single one of us was raised, and taught, whatever language our families use (um). And those moral issues about how we treat people, and how we treat the least well-off people, are the critical issues for this society and this world today; that to be able to claim that you’re speaking the, the language of moral morality with moral authority, with moral courage, is exactly what we need today in our political and our faith-based leaders.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez:Yeah. And I do, I do feel it’s really important to under-score that, that we need to take this moment, and we have to, we really do need to claim the moral high-ground, because we have it. And if we don’t claim it, then we’re going to be a part of this lie. If we don’t reclaim this moment right now, in particular, in a moral frame, then our moral — then no one’s claiming the moral frame. Then no one is advocating for what is right in this country. And that is how we engage in a collective slide and, honestly, don’t let them forget it. Don’t let these people forget what they stood by and supported in this moment. They can never claim this moral frame-work ever again; EVER again. Because they stood by as children were ripped from their parents. They stood by as the richest in this country began to enrich themselves at the cost of children’s healthcare and education and housing. They stood by as the childrens’ health insurance program was (claimed) hostage. They stood by. Though all these things. And we cannot …we have to claim it. We have to tell them that this is what they are doing right now so that they know that they can’t forget it. So no one can say that no one told me. We have to be the ones that have that, that have that voice of moral clarity. Because, if we let it slide, (unclear) this country slides.” (applause)

And the exposés keep rolling on in: “The Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Model Loses in the Midwest.”  If socialism is so popular, why aren’t the socialists winning? [Daniel Greenfield]

One of the handouts in the “gift” bag, compliments of the (very Marxist) Workman’s Circle, represents the rejection of the Trump Presidency from the labor UNION presence at this summit.

From this summit. It was clear. Very clear. VOTE 2020. ‘Cause the Marxist, Socialist, Progressive machine is committed to making America into a Socialist hell-hole. So VOTE. Your future depends on it.

Marxists demand: “We Won’t Be Complicit, No TECH FOR ICE ” NYC

The Marxist Battle Cry: We Won’t be COMPLICIT!”

On July 31, 2018, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, “Science for the People”, “Movimiento Cosecha”,”Rise & Resist”, “Desis Rising Up & Moving” and “ISO-NYC” targeted Microsoft’s NYC offices, the Salesforce tower and the Amazon Book Store on 34th Street with pickets and a march. Their complaint: “All of these companies have substantial contracts with ICE and the Border Patrol that enables these agencies to tear migrant families apart.

“Dysfunction is part of the plan”

“Liberals don’t care about kids. They want to wreck our country. More than 700,000 illegals who were caught sneaking into our country — not the 40 million we didn’t catch — are now living here free. Really free: free health care, free housing, free food. Last year, with a force less than half the size of the New York City Police Department, ICE removed more than 100,000 illegal aliens with criminal convictions.” [Ann Coulter]

Video Part 1

Join Patriots and say LOUD and clear, “Support ICE! USA all the way! Build the wall nice and tall! We will shadow the anti-American traitors.

“Time to get off the keyboards and take out your American or Blue Lives  Matter flags. No flags?  Get poster-board and construct a sign supporting ICE, the US, law enforcement, etc.Anti American traitors will take to the streets again to call for the di smantling of ICE. They will be spreading anti American rhetoric that children who came to the US illegally are being housed in cages and tortured. They will promote open borders. The dismantling of ICE and open borders would be the begining of the end of the United States. We know better. We support law enforcement…our Constitution … our law.” [NY American Defenders]

The Marxists “marched against ICE as part of Movimiento Cosecha’s National Day of Action to #AbolishICE, and in solidarity with the tech workers calling on these companies to cancel their contracts with ICE #NoTechforICE. and celebrating their victory in the case of Pablo Villavicencio, freed from ICE custody after a hard-fought activist campaign. Pablo was detained June 1st at Fort Hamilton Military Base in Brooklyn, NY while delivering pizza.”

Video Part 2

The Marxisst demand :  ABOLISH ICE

“… most Americans believe that a fair and even generous immigration policy can only work if it is implemented under the rule of law with safeguards to protect the personal and economic security of Americans citizens and others residing legally in this country. Illegal immigration advocates … believe that immigration is an inherent universal human right rather than a privilege […] These Leftists […] want to open our borders to all who wish to reside here. If these fanatics ever get their way, the sovereign constitutional republic of the United States of America […] will come to an end. [(Joseph Klein)

Socialists, Demo-Socialists, Marxists and Liberal Progs marching against the American Constitution, demanding “No Borders. No Nations”, comically INSANE. #WeWontBeComplicit

To understand these protestors, I found reporter Caleb Maupin’s recent video on Socialism and how ignorant Americans are of Socialism’s success. Caleb […] is an”outspoken advocate of international friendship and cooperation, as well as 21st Century Socialism”

Caleb Maupin, journalist and political analyst, appears frequently on RT and PressTV. He was a member of Workers World Party and Fight Imperialism – Stand Together (FIST) (WWP’s youth wing) though he has recently distanced himself from that organization. He worked as a youth organizer for the International Action Center and was involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement from its planning stages.

A flash back on “Caleb 2012”:  a long-haired, NoKo sycophant ranting on the streets of NY, defending North Korea from defamation.

They were protesting the remake of “Red Dawn”and the replacing of the Soviet troops  of 1984, first with the Chinese … who quickly morphed in to Communist North Korea: the new enemy.

“The studio needed new villains, since the U.S.S.R. had collapsed in 1991. The producers substituted Chinese aggressors for the Soviets and filmed the movie in Michigan in 2009,” …  Immediately after, every distributor….  with any business sense got cold feet. … the filmmakers … digitally erased Chinese flags and military symbols from ‘Red Dawn,’ substituting dialogue and altering the film.” Bye-bye Chinese, hello Photoshop, North Koreans.” [Forbes]

Caleb 2012 – defending North Korea ‘s Communism/Socialism to the Times Square passersby (and riffing on this reporter at the top) is a far cry ( hair-wise) from Caleb Maupin 2018. Moving UP in the world, from street agitator to suited reporter at Press (Iran ) TV and now RT- Russian TV, but the message remains the same. (his the frothing indictment of anything non-Communist begins at the top to 00:47)

After the Marxists marched to Amazon Book Store, Gizmodo reported on the arrests.

“…around 7pm, six protesters held a small sit-in, blocking the entrance to Amazon Books. Ten minutes later officers blocked foot traffic around the store, and one approached the group with a backpack containing a speaker which played a prerecorded message warning them to disperse or be arrested for disorderly conduct. One by one they were zip-tied and led into a Strategic Response van.”

“We will target companies that do business with ICE,” said Maria Fernanda Cabello, an undocumented organizer with Cosecha […. ] If Amazon continues doing business with ICE then we won’t let them do business at all.” [Gizmodo]

ILLEGAL “Deportee Suitcase Solidarity March” July 26, 2018

July 26, 2018, “Deportee Suitcase Solidarity March”- NYC

The Soc/Commie/Prog/Fascisti, their battle cry: NO BORDERS, NO NATIONS.

They praise themselves as compassionate citizens-of -the-world, like Venezuela, Cuba. Tyranny ignored by eager young millennials. Privileged illiterati, accepting Communism.

They are GOOD. We are BAD.

Patriots on the edge of Foley Square held signs and banners that upset the delicate Commie rebels. (“Thank G-d for President Trump” and “Thank you ICE“). Brown shirts blocked the patriot’s “horrid” signs by any means necessary: Silence the”ALT-RIGHT”. Racist scum!

Flickr slide show of patriots harassed by Leftist goons.

DSC_7151

The NYPD did not separate the Commies from the Patriots, which led eventually to an assault on a female patriot who held the “Trump in 2020” banner; grabbed from behind by an Antifa goon attempting to rip the banner from her hands.  With police on all sides, she was flipped backwards off the bench and dragged across the grass.  At least the police chased this Antifa scum down and arrested him.

A Republican (more likely a plant) His complaint, “Why did we tell HIM to thank GOD for Trump?” He was offended by this personal message (the sign), that it was an order.

Near the end of the Commie protest barricades were placed around the patriots. But, the Commies stayed as the blocking game continued.

Meanwhile, this reporter was hounded, blocked and surrounded by the Antifa.  The NYPD seemed disinterested that I was encircled by their ham-fisted banner, so I grabbed Antifa’s banner and continued taking pictures.

Many of the brown shirts were Jews from Workman’s Circle as well as  the usal 20-somethings; WHITE Commies AND the Antifa, all part of the full bore Fascist assault.

When asked, “Why. Why are you blocking me?” The B.S. response, “They were protecting  he rally from ME, from possible harm by ME.”

As the game of obsession grew, I stood next to a very tall NYPD officer. The proud Commies totally invading my personal space as a blond-haired Neanderthal pressed against me, blocking my camera; unchallenged by the officer at my side.

The officer was not able to  control the rabble, so I gave back what I was getting; push back, my hand-in-face (back at cha).

No NYPD officer stepped in ’til I demanded help from  another officer at the opposite end of the public walk-way. He helped, briefly. Breaking up the 4 to 5  20-something WHITE females in security vests, telling them to stop blocking a public walkway. However, this too was futile. They do not fear the police. They surrounded him and talked his ear off.

I continued to walk the public walk way, taking pictures of illegals like Ravi Ragbir . He became quite annoyed, demanding I take NO pictures of him. (In a public space, at a protest rally) The officer supported my right to take Ravi’s picture. (one moment of parity.)

The times they are regressing. The Soc/Commie/Prog/Fascisti are more rude, more aggressive. The police seemed intimidated because these hard core Leftists will not hesitate to LIE; their careers ruined.

Their goal : to remake our Republic into a Communist hell-hole; changing our laws; adding million of illegals to VOTE in our elections.

PDF of brochures they handed out.

immigration suitcase pdf

If you only attended the earlier portion of this protest, benign in comparison, you may have missed the fact that THIS IS WAR.

Flickr

EA8_4296

MUSIC was a big part of the Commie outreach early on. Kept the PEOPLE passive.

The opening speaker shared the  Soc/Commie/Prog/Fascist party-line with passers-by. But they know not what they hear,  #WhatWouldYouPack

The display of suitcases – the theme of the day:  “ILLEGAL Deportee Suitcase Solidarity MARCH. No borders no Nations.”In defense of the illegal “victims”: “What would you pack?”

“We ask that you bring ONE OBJECT YOU WOULD PACK in your love’s suitcase as we shed a light onto the deportation machine that continues to cause violence and suffering on our communities.” But, the display was a bust. Found only ONE suitcase

“Each day, people in our communities must pack such a suitcase and submit it to ICE for inspection. When they drop off these suitcases with ICE, they cannot see their loved one to say goodbye.”

video – “3 Pants” suitcase video from their web site

“The suitcase is everything your loved one will leave with; the suitcase contains the belongings they will start over with,  “What would you pack?”

“Some of our friends and neighbors are deported to countries they left as children, where they know no one and may not speak the language. It may be a place with little opportunity, where their sexuality is criminalized, where there is war or drought. They often face grave danger.”

They have a message: Illegals good, ICE bad.

Commie RED Hypocrites Confront Corruption, Demand Democracy in Times Sq.

July 18, 2018. NYC (Father)Duffy Square
47th and Broadway. 8- 10 pm.

Duffy Square was filled with COMMIE protestors riding the wave of Trump COLLUSION with the RUSSIANS.

These hypocrites, the Commie REDS, DEMAND a corrupt free DEMOCRACY.

“Before November 2016 Democrats never met a Communist or a Russian they didn’t want to embrace …. the left-wingers’ love affair with Russia. NOW the Left doesn’t want to talk about (it).” (click to enlarge picture)

“During the Cold War, CPUSA members swore an oath to the Soviet Union, to a ‘Soviet America,’ and to the triumph of Soviet power in the United States.” [Front Page Mag]

Now anti-Trumpers, Soc/Commie/Prog/Fascisti, gathered to “expose” the Trump Presidency — using favorite buzz-words: FASCIST. IMPEACH.

Trump’s “COLLUSION” with Russia, the meme, hoping to sucker the ill-informed passers-by.

Meanwhile, dedicated anti-Trump communists. Disappointed tourists . None could access the photo-op friendly RED steps.

Thanks to representatives of “The People” the NYPD roped of the Red steps. (screen shots from video)

One of the Commie leaders, Jay W. Walker, New York chapter of REFUSE FASCISM. a front group for the Revolutionary Communist Party, was in the crowd. His sash says: VOTE – REFUSE FASCISM.

“Comrade Jay” mixed with the crowd of the truly compassionate WHITE middle class, educated elite.

Pathetic youth in lock step with their leaders.

Arrogance, de rigueur.

The T-shirt below touts the new – confused- “democrat” socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ...”

In a video with fellow left-wing darling Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Ocasio made what appeared to be a gaffe. “Hello, everybody! So excited to be here on Sen. Sanders’ account and we’re here in Kansas City to rally for Brent Welder,” Cortez said to the camera. “We’re gonna flip this seat red in November.” … some commentators noted that red is the traditional color for socialism — a label Ocasio-Cortez has not shied away from.”  Can we say CONFUSED [Fox News.com]

As for the Red/Blue debate

“In the beginning, blue was red and red was blue and they changed back and forth from election to election and network to network in what appears, in hindsight, to be a flight of whimsy. The notion that there were “red states” and “blue states”—and that the former were Republican and the latter Democratic—wasn’t cemented on the national psyche until the year 2000. Before the epic election of 2000, there was no uniformity in the maps that television stations, newspapers or magazines used to illustrate presidential elections.” [Smithsonian Mag

The Working Families Party, linked to many radical groups, nurtured Letitia “Tish” James as New York’s next Attorney General. The RED State says it’s all about DEMOCRACY, but this BLUE state mania, is it anti-Communist? or PRO. Make up your minds!

Up is Down. Left is Right. White Silence Violent. Communism the REAL Democracy.

The People have spoken. March For Truth:  Bring your own candle (or candle app)… wear something white … this event is a grassroots, rapid-response event that will not feature speeches or amplified sound.” Just ” Songs in the Key of F*You.

“At 9 PM we will have a moment of silence- a moment of solemnity to contemplate the scale of the problems we face as a country and a moment to collect our resolve to face them.”

NYC “Progressive” Jews For a Just and Humane Immigration Policy (pics & vids)

Thursday evening, June 21, 2018. 6 PM. New York City’s “Progressive” Jews For a Just and Humane Immigration Policy” gathered outside Federal Plaza- NYC to protest President Trump’s Travel Ban.

“The Jewish community stands united in opposition to the Trump Administration’s inhumane treatment of immigrants at the border.”

“This opposition continues despite President Trump’s executive order that would keep families together but hold them in detention facilities for an indefinite period of time.”

“We will be gathering outside the Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices at Federal Plaza to pray and act together for protection for immigrants.”

The NEW JDL was there, countering these  VERY “Progressive” Jews.

They were so “progressive” that their “green hated” security attempted to infringe upon the New JDL’s right to also protest ….. in a public forum.

Twice they attempted to inform the JDL that they could NOT speak to anyone passing by – on a  public street.

Even the regular NYPD patrol officers knew this was ridiculous. They informed the PROGS that muzzling the JDL was NOT allowed.

The New JDL held their position, never intending to give in to the Prog harassment

They were not silent.

As for the actual protest of Progs, a Rabbi opened with  The Travelers Prayer

May it be Your will, G‑d, our G‑d and the G‑d of our fathers, that You should lead us in peace and direct our steps in peace, and guide us in peace, and support us in peace, and cause us to reach our destination in life, joy, and peace (If one intends to return immediately, one adds: and return us in peace). Save us from every enemy and ambush, from robbers and wild beasts on the trip, and from all kinds of punishments that rage and come to the world. May You confer blessing upon the work of our hands and grant me grace, kindness, and mercy in Your eyes and in the eyes of all who see us, and bestow upon us abundant kindness and hearken to the voice of our prayer, for You hear the prayers of all. Blessed are You G‑d, who hearkens to prayer.

There were a few speakers, like NY City Councilman Brad Lander (and close friend of Linda Sarsour).

a short Video

The very “Progressive” face book page explained why they were there “For a Just and Humane Immigration Policy”:

“The Jewish community stands united in opposition to the Trump Administration’s inhumane treatment of immigrants at the border. This opposition continues despite President Trump’s executive order that would keep families together but hold them in detention facilities for an indefinite period of time.”

We will be gathering outside the Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices at Federal Plaza to pray and act together for protection for immigrants.

Muslim Ban NYC Presser: Yemini-Americans & Almontaser (Foley Square) vids & pics

NYC Presser: Impact of the Muslim Ban on Yemeni-American families.

June 21, 2018  11 AM. Foley Sq. The presser was streamed live and counter-protested by the New JDL-NY . I doubt they were included in the feed (sarc intended).

Hosted and endorsed by MPower Change,  Arab American Association of New York, Center for Constitutional Rights, Yemeni American Merchants Association -YAMA, Yemeni American Association (YAA), CUNY CLEAR and Arab American Association of New York (AAANY).

“Yemeni-Americans shared their experiences trying to reunite with their loved ones stranded abroad and facing immigration hurdles caused by the ban and a war at home. CCR highlighted the key findings of the new report, including how mass denials of waivers to Yemenis in Djibouti demonstrate that the waiver process is merely window-dressing on a racist and discriminatory policy that targets and separates families and must be struck down entirely.”

The speakers included, Ibraham Qatabi, Center for Constitutional Rights (video)

Radad Alborati, impacted by the Muslim Ban

Shahab Hamoud Mothena, impacted by the Muslim Ban

Diala Shamas, Center for Constitutional Rights (video)

Kavita Pariah-Sanchez, Assis. Comm, Mayor’s Off. Immigrant Affairs (included briefly in the video above)

Dr. Debbie Almontaser, Yemeni American Merchants Association. FYI- High Noon. Sun was hot and intense. Caused cell screen to go black – so I couldn’t see subject I was filming – video not framed well – apologies.

At approx 00:44 Debbie decide to air her grievance with me – for daring to  film her presser. ” Like to point out someone very special …. Pamela Hall …. since 2006, follows me around, records all my speeches, then spins it with HATE. (then as she finished a rather long speech) “Sorry I spoke a bit long, but I had a lot to say. Right, Pamela?” Guess she’s never gotten over the fact I exposed her Intifada NYC t-shirt in 2007.

Mentions World Refugee Day. Three more years of Trump. Maybe less if he gets impeached and repeats the usual misinformation regarding “native ” Americans, “No one has a claim to this land except the ‘native’ Americans (and mentions what we did to them).

“Yemeni-American community members, along with local community and human rights organizations, launched a new report,Window Dressing the Muslim Ban: Reports of waivers & mass denials from Yemeni-American families stuck in limbo, authored by the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) and the Rule of Law Clinic at Yale Law School. About :  THE CENTER FOR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS

The Center for Constitutional Rights is dedicated to advancing and protecting the rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Founded in 1966 by attorneys who represented civil rights movements in the South, CCR is a nonprofit legal and educational organization committed to the creative use of law as a positive force for social change.

and  THE RULE OF LAW CLINIC, YALE LAW SCHOOL

The Yale Law School Rule of Law Clinic was launched in 2017 and focuses on maintaining U.S. rule of law and human rights commitments in four broad areas: national security, anti-discrimination, climate change, and democracy promotion. Projects include litigation, policy advocacy, and strategic planning matter.

They concluded the presser reminding everyone that on this day and next week as well, “Whether or not we receive a Supreme Court decision on the Muslim Ban, join us in standing together with the Yemeni-American community to say #NoMuslimBanEver.

On this same day, President Trump tweeted what NEEDS to be said:

Democrats want open Borders, where anyone can come into our country, and stay. This is Nancy Pelosi’s dream. It won’t happen!

What is the purpose of the House doing good immigration bills when you need 9 votes by Democrats in the Senate, and the Dems are only looking to Obstruct (which they feel is good for them in the Mid-Terms). Republicans must get rid of the stupid Filibuster Rule-it is killing you!

The border has been a big mess and problem for many years. At some point Schumer and Pelosi, who are weak on Crime and Border security, will be forced to do a real deal, so easy, that solves this long time problem. Schumer used to want border security – now he’ll take crime!

We shouldn’t be hiring judges by the thousands, as our ridiculous immigration laws demand, we should be changing our laws, building the Wall, hire Border Agents and Ice and not let people come into our country based on the legal phrase they are told to say as their password.”

The TRUTH, it’s a terrible thing to waste.

IFTAR in the Streets, Linda Sarsour & NYPD to New JDL-NY: “You make a sound, you will be removed”

“You make a sound and we will remove you from the park”, NYPD Community Affairs liaison to New JDL-NY. ** scroll down for more on that outrageous muzzling**

IFTAR 2018 in-the-Streets.  6:30 pm Foley Square.

We’re standing in solidarity with communities across the country hosting #iftarinthestreets! Muslims and allies will gather and break fast in support for immigrant communities who are under attack … outside ICE headquarters, at Foley Square …  #iftarinthestreets for Immigrant Justice!” [Face Book]

Ramadan, when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset to please Allah, is considered their holiest month. Many non-Muslims are often invited to fast and even pray with their Muslim friends and also to share the IFTAR dinner.

Ramadan. Iftar. A dawah opportunity on the Road to One World Under Islam, the Umma.

Non-Muslims, like the Leftist Jews from JFREJ (Jews For Racial and Economic Justice) and JVP (Jewish Voice For Peace) were “free to participate in Ramadan” and that’s just what they were doing in Foley Square. Proudly.

This representative from JFREJ, decided to ask questions of the New JDL-NY.

… looking for “Common Ground” …

The New JDL-NY listened politely, but gave no quarter to the ignorance of these misguided leftist Jews, to the JFREJ and JVP who were dedicated to showing the world how to live in peace with their Muslim Sisters and Brothers.

These do-gooder non-Muslims encourage others “…. to be polite to someone who is fasting for Ramadan … greet them with Ramadan Mubarak or Ramadan Kareem, which means ‘Have a Blessed or Generous Ramadan’.” [Huff Po]

BUT, is this special time of year really genuinely welcoming the kafir?

Geller Report and Jihad Watch:

“Ramadan is quintessentially the month of jihad …. a month of holy war and death for Allah, a month for fighting the enemies of Allah and God’s messenger, the Jews and their American facilitators.

In contrast, President Trump issued (sadly) a statement claiming that “Ramadan reminds us of the richness Muslims add to the religious tapestry of American life.”

So which is it? Does Ramadan remind us of  “the richness Muslims add to the religious tapestry of American life,” or is Ramadan “a month of calamity everywhere for nonbelievers”?

Saw Raja Abdulhaq [Abulhaq is an active member of Al-Awda, a radical anti-Israel website that rallies for the “Right of Return,” otherwise known as the “One State Solution“].  City Councilman Brad Lander and Linda Sarsour, darling of CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood, and MpowerChange. Peaceful?

… it would be dangerous, suicidal folly for Infidels to pretend that Ramadan is not the month of jihad …. as our Ramadan willful blindness continues, more Infidels will die. (LINK BELGIUM]

** The NYPD Community Affairs officer was apparently in the pocket of the IFTAR organizers. In the name of “peace”, and at the behest of the IFTAR event, he denied Freedom of Speech to the JDL protestors.

His reasoning? The “Iftarists” had the sound permit [which only means the opposition – JDL- cannot be amplified, NOT that they can not be heard.]

But, today he created a new rule. Just for the JDL. The Community Affairs Officer warned the New JDL protestors not to make a sound while Sarsour was speaking (on mic) OR they would be removed from this public park.

See video of Sarsour, a supposed champion of women’s rights, as she inspired those present with her fiery Ramadan thoughts. (Ramadan is her FAVORITE time of year- Jihad anyone?)

Sarsour quotes: “This is the Blessed month of Ramadan, some of our friends have fasted in solidarity with us,  a lot of our Christian and Jewish friends …. we got allies and friends and solidarity…. times we’ve shared in the movement.  I wanta give a shout out to our friends at FRJEJ. Before it was COOL to stand with the Muslims, these Jewish groups were standing with the Muslims .We are so great ful for you … and we will show up for you any time that you need us. We are all in this together. We are going to FIGHT this together. Because the opposition doesn’t like any of you here. They don’t like women, they don’t like Muslims, they don’t like Jews, they don’t like immigrants, they don’t like refugees, they don’t like black people, they don’t like LGBTQ people. We’re all in the same boat  together. If our opposition is treating us like we’re part of one movement … we gotta start acting like ONE movement. We thank you for your continued solidarity on the issues … impacting Muslims and ALL marginalized communities in these United States of America.”(cheers/applause)

As for the muzzling of the NEW JDL-NY, such actions are never imposed on the Muslim/Leftist protestors.

See more in video and follow link to the Pamela Geller CUNY protest opposing Sarsour as the Key Note Speaker for CUNY’s 2017 grads on May 25, 2017:

Something was very rotten in the City of New York that day (and every day really). Respectful silence was not on the agenda. The NOISE makers persisted, unabated, overwhelming the amplified sound. The NYPD just watched allowing the Leftards to create a hell of a NOISE.

… there’s no free speech to the right. Only the left. The only controversial speech the left believes in protecting is its own speech. [DGreenfield]

Sadly, the Tommy Robinson arrest in the UK  is a far more ominous example of free speech rights lost but this day in Foley Sq. was not a sign of progress. Anything but. We have been warned.

Video JDL and chants and responses in Foley Square BEFORE they were muzzled.

Found a couple of twitter posts from the IFTAR-ists mocking the JDL counter protest:

As people gather for the community building protestors with signs reading “Keep Sharia Out” and “Thank you ICE” and “Back The Ban” have show up to instigate those here. [twitter]

Some not-so-friendly folks arrived at our but we’re going to continue to celebrate with love and solidarity in [twitter]

The New JDL NY responded to complaints from the anti-Zionists, “.. guess, holding an American flag, thanking law enforcement and wanting to keep Sharia out is unfriendly.

The end of Ramadan 2018 (on June 14) is called Eid ul-Fitr (Festival of the Breaking of the Fast), a 3 day festival. Three Days! Wow. So much to look forward to.

NYC Students SOCIALIST FED “Evening of Action” for Gun Reform

March 14, 2018 – 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM– Hosted by Coalition Z – Quaker School, NYC.  The No Guns Student Strike March vs patriots. The students gathered to discuss a controversial topic: the pros and cons of the Second Amendment; with a one-sided view planned inside while a lively debate was ON outside the Quaker School.

There were many student signs attached to the fence that surrounded the Quaker School.

Signs that were countered when when the patriots arrived.

Signs that seemed to arouse the student’s curiosity.

Causing a few to peek over the fence….dare they do more?

Eventually a few of those students calmly (and respectfully) crossed the street to interview the patriots.

The calm before a storm, perhaps, but still a relief from the usual Socialist Left invective.

Part 3 – A student named Eric, had a long conversation with a couple of patriots about the Second Amendment. He stayed long after his advisors kept prodding him to go inside  the Quaker House to hear the pre-arranged speakers:

 1. Stoneman Douglas alumna, Claire McCue
2. Marie DeLus, a Moms Demand Action activist and former Marine sharpshooter who lost her nephew to gun violence.
3. Alex Clavering, the lead organizer of the March for Our Lives-NYC
4. Stoneman Douglas student activists survivors of  Parkland shooting (via video message).

Seemed that Eric preferred to continue this exchange. He was confidently more interested in what was happening outside the school.

Part 2 – Earlier another group of students also chatted with the patriots, asking questions, talking and listening to their responses regarding the Second Amendment.

Part 1 – The patriots took a position across from the historic Quaker School (built in 1860) as the students arrived. They were often visibly shocked to see signs supporting our President. One young man interviewed a patriot on why he supports the Second Amendment.

Links to a few Media Reports : “Students Walk Out Nationwide Protesting Gun Violence

“The coordinated walkouts were loosely organized by Empower, the youth wing of the Women’s March, which brought thousands to Washington, D.C., last year.

The group urged students to leave class at 10 a.m. local time for 17 minutes — one minute for each victim in the Florida shooting — and suggested demands for lawmakers, including an assault weapons ban and mandatory background checks for all gun sales. ” [PIX11]

“More than a hundred local students, parents, activists, and curious reporters gathered at a Quaker meeting house on Wednesday for what students had billed as an evening of action.

There was a brief lick of tension when one of the speakers—a woman from Moms Demand Action—admitted that she was, in fact, a card carrying member of the NRA. Just behind her hung a sign that screamed “NeveRagAin (NRA).” But her comment was largely defused when she mentioned that most NRA members support stronger gun control, and she held up a photo of her nephew, who was shot and killed in 2008 at the age of 19. The woman, a former marine turned activist, emphasized that gun violence doesn’t just affect young people in schools, but in their communities as well.”

AND  NEXT up for this student-led (Socialist-nurtured) Coalition Z :

Organizing Resistance to Internet Censorship” at NYU, Wednesday, March 28, 7:30 pm.

“The World Socialist Web Site, Socialist Equality Party, and International Youth and Students for Social Equality are organizing public meetings throughout the United States to alert workers and youth to the far-advanced efforts to control and censor the Internet.

The US government, in the closest collaboration with Google, Facebook, Twitter and other powerful information technology corporations, is implementing massive restrictions on Internet access to socialist, antiwar and progressive websites.

The World Socialist Web Site, which has been a principal target of the censorship campaign, is leading the fight against the greatest attack on free speech since the Second World War.Our meeting will explore the political context of efforts to censor the Internet, examine the pretexts used to justify the suppression of free speech (e.g., “fake news”), and discuss a political strategy to mobilize the working class in defense of democratic rights.” [World Socialist Web]

This type of heavy Socialist Indoctrination is what our schools offer as the only road to a Free Society, which made this group of students willingness to talk, to even ask questions, so unusual.

You Can’t DEPORT a Movement-Foley Sq- NYC

Feb. 10, 2018 – Foley Square, NYC
9 am to Noon

In the words of the hard-core left hosting this rally, You Can’t Deport a MOVEMENT!  “There is a new stay for Ravi’s deportation […] this moment matters now MORE THAN EVER! We must stand up for the countless thousands of Ravis and Jeans and show that we are powerful together! “

“We leave no one behind! ICE cannot target our leaders OR our communities!”

Co-Sponsoring Organizations from the LEFT include: New Sanctuary Coalition, New York Immigration Coalition, 32BJ SEIU, Bronx Immigration Partnership, Copwatch Patrol Unit, Critical Resistance, Detention Watch Network, Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM), Democratic Socialists of America, Domestic Workers Alliance, Equality Labs, Immigrant Defense Project, Interfaith Center of New York,

mPower Change, Queer Detainee Empowerment Project (QDEP), the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild, Northern Manhattan Immigration Coalition, Red Bloom / Solidarity Network, Restaurant Opportunities Center NYC, Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir, Rise and Resist, South Asian Solidarity Initiative, Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ) NYC, UnLocal, We Belong Together, WhyHunger, Workers Center of Central NY and Worker Justice Center of New York.

Video Part 1

[Face Book] “ICE is escalating its attack on immigrants and only our movement can stop them […] demand a #NEWSANCTUARYCITY”

The New Sanctuary Coalition (founded in 2007) acts as a network of interfaith congregations and organizations that stand with families and communities resisting detention and deportation.

Always encouraging to see JDL-NY giving THANKS to ICE! (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)

Still, [Face Book] moans from the LEFT droned on: “We need to stop the escalation of ICE and the president’s attacks on immigrant communities, including targeting dissidents for deportation…”

— “targeting” FELONS? BAD ICE. BAD U.S. Government —

“… (ICE) threatening Dreamers with detention, ICE efforts to infiltrate courts and churches and up to the racist rhetoric of the president and his office.”

“In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we’re asking friends and fellow activists to help hand deliver a message of love for all immigrants to ICE’s office by showing […] solidarity with Ravi, Dreamers, TPS recipients, workers, families and community members.”

“We’ll use messages of love and solidarity to combat the “good immigrant, bad immigrant” narrative. We resent the pressure on immigrants to prove their social or economic worth in order to justify their humanity.”

“This is a fight against this racist administration’s attempt to overstep the constitution and cherry pick who has the right to freedom and who will be terrorized into silence.”

“… this movement has deep roots and cannot be eradicated. We’re going to show them that you can’t deport a movement.”

Flickr slide show[Foley Square]

Ravi’s status managed a reprieve—again: Immigrant rights activist temporarily avoids deportation.

“Justice was restored today( 2-09-18), at least temporarily, as Mr. Ragbir is now able to remain in the United States and free until the Court reviews his constitutional claims,” Ragbir’s attorney R. Stanton Jones said.

Ragbir — who has been a US resident since 1994 — has a 2001 felony fraud conviction from which prompted a 2006 order of deportation that Ragbir had successfully challenged until his arrest last month.” [NY Post]

Video Part 2 – as they did the Immigrant March

“Reps for Ragbir — the Trinidad native — also announced that they will be filing a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court on Friday against ICE, Homeland Security, the Dept. of Justice and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to permanently stop officials from attempts to deport Ragbir and for relief for other immigrants rights activists who have also been targeted for deportation.” [NY Post]

“Ragbir slammed the Trump administration’s immigration policy […] calling it “ethnic cleansing.” [NY Daily News]

++ Then at NOON to 1:30 pm, the NY March For Immigrants’ Rally gathered in Herald Square

Their reasoning and accusations (as always) IGNORE the Rule of Law as the rail against the U.S. Government: “We are appalled by this administration’s attempt to pit immigrants against each other.”

We’re protesting against the anti-immigrant policies proposed by the White House and the GOP legislators, especially the recent White House proposal to end family reunification in exchange for DACA legalization.”

“Legal Immigrants, DACA and every American who opposes the anti-immigrant agenda are joining hands to fight racism, bigotry and xenophobia. United we stand, divided we fall.”

“There are roughly 7.5 billion human beings on this planet. None of them came from outer space, so none of them are aliens. So I refuse to call any human being an alien.”

“Furthermore, no human being is “illegal.
Any law that outlaws humanity is a bad and unjust law.

Apartheid was legal. That did not make it right. The human beings breaking Apartheid laws were humans fighting for justice, not “illegals.”

The Holocaust was legal. That did not make it right. Human beings breaking Holocaust laws were humans fighting for justice, not “illegals.”

“Slavery was legal. That did not make it right. Human beings fighting against slavery laws were not “illegals.” They were human beings fighting for justice.

Segregation was legal. That not make it right. Human Beings breaking Jim Crow laws were not “illegal.” They were human beings fighting for justice.”

“The earth has no lines on it. All borders are man made.
Crossing a man made line is only a crime because people have made it one.

People crossing a man made line are still human beings. They do not deserve to be detained or tortured. It is wrong to rip their families apart for any reason.

The earth belongs to all of us and we belong to it. Any human being should be able to live, with their family, any damn place they please on this planet.”

No human being is illegal. All this deportation of human beings is wrong and racist. There is absolutely no justification for treating human beings in this way.”  (This article was written by Claire Cohen.)#March4Immigrants
