At about 2:30 …. I finally saw an artful U.S. flag in the distance, (far right in the picture), not knowing THAT was the statue….

The memorial was less about Charlie Kirk and more about the obnoxious influencer Jake Lang
Seems this latest confusion was because their permit had been revoked by the NYPD for a Global Fashion and Culture Show, accounting for the very brief unveiling as the Kirk Memorial was relocated and then rushed out of Times Square.
The Global Fashion and Culture Event was the main attraction.

Meanwhile, New York artistSergioFurnari unveiled his statue in honor of Charlie Kirk …. from the back of a truck, at 2:23 pm, marking the moment Charlie was shot (12;23 in Utah). But the unveiling was short-lived, ending quickly with a female placing flowers in the statue’s hands and then …. the truck drove away with a police escort.
As the memorial left Times Square, Jake Lang and his crew chanted“Avenge Charlie Kirk!” and “They Can’t Kill us all” as they marched with their banner.
Confrontations and physical altercations followed along as they walked to 8th Ave and 47th, where the police forced/helped LANG in to a taxi. (might want to start video at about 2:00)

Who is Nichola Kristof: I’m an Opinion columnist for The New York Times, writing about foreign and domestic issues. What I Cover I often report from around the world.
Kristof reported that a journalist detained by Israel in Gaza in 2024 said that, while stripped naked, handcuffed, and blindfolded, he had been raped by a dog “with encouragement from a handler in Hebrew”.[1] Kristof wrote that there had been other reports from Palestinian prisoners and human rights groups that police dogs have been trained to rape prisoners.[1]
Some may wonder whether Palestinians fabricated accusations of sexual assaults to defame Israel. To me that seems far-fetched because none of those I interviewed sought me out or knew who else I was speaking to and they were reluctant to speak. Yet there is some evidence that Israel’s sexual abuse has become so frequent that norms are changing and Palestinian victims are becoming a bit more willing to speak out.
Think of it this way: The horrific abuse inflicted on Israeli women on Oct. 7 now happens to Palestinians day after day. It persists because of silence, indifference and the failure of American and Israeli officials alike to answer Netanyahu’s query: Where the hell are you?

The terrorizing of Jews attending a real estate discussion at New York City’s Park East Synagogue last week must be the last straw. Every few weeks, there’s another incident. Another synagogue surrounded by protesters chanting “we need to make them scared.” Another Jewish worshipper put in a chokehold. Another commercial event forced to cancel because organized mobs showed up to intimidate attendees. Another neighborhood placed under siege while elementary schools lock their doors early.
And every time, the response follows the same script: politicians condemn it, community leaders call it unacceptable, a few arrests are made for disorderly conduct, and then — nothing. The organization that planned it moves on to the next event.
No more. It’s time that we took action to ensure that the organization that was responsible for organizing the terror campaign is bankrupted and dismantled. … We need to stop pretending these are isolated incidents. The Manifesto’s diagnosis of capitalist society is at the same time a prognosis of the destruction of capitalism at the hands of what the Manifesto calls the “grave diggers” of capitalism—the revolutionary proletariat.

Nothing could be a more crystal-clear call to the proletariat than the final paragraph of the Manifesto.
It ends with this ringing call to action:

This was a ‘critical moment’ to show the world that they – the protestors- “were revolting against Trump and the “Billionaire Class.”

The People’s Forum and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, both funded by China-based former software exec Neville Singham- a socialist benefactor of far-left causes and an admirer of Maoism. While the exact, final number-of-billionaires at the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos is not officially released, reports indicate that a significant, large-contingent of the world’s richest-individuals is in attendance amongst roughly 3,000 global-leaders. Additionally, nearly 400 millionaires and billionaires from 24 countries are engaging in the event to call for higher-taxes on the super-rich.
The sentiment among billionaires towards wealth taxes and measures to address inequality is divided. A small, vocal group actively advocates forhigher taxes on the super-rich, while the majority generally remains opposed, or is focused on other solutions like philanthropy and technological innovation.

What unfolded in Minnesota was not spontaneous outrage but a disciplined, well-funded campaign aimed at dismantling U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and, by extension, the rule of law itself. The same radical networks, foreign-linked funders, and professional agitators are driving it — including China-connected billionaire pipelines and hard-left communist factions.
What’s new — and dangerous — is that these extremists are now marching openly alongside mainstream unions and legacy institutions. The firewall is gone. The revolution no longer hides at the margins.

Why was Mahmoud Khalil Arrested ?
The Agency:Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
The Reason:His activism for Palestinian rights and involvement in pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University.
“Mahmoud Khalil was only here for two years. We gave him free housing, free food, and an Ivy League education. As soon as his feet touched our soil, he began to foment hatred and incite violence. He’s leaving with nearly half a million dollars. But fuck America, right?”

NPR: After 104 days in a Louisiana immigration detention center (arrested March 8, 2025) Columbia graduate Mahmoud Khalil has been released on bail.
Mahmoud Khalil was released from federal custody on Friday, June 20, 2025, more than three months after immigration agents arrested and detained him as the first student targeted for deportation by President Trump’s crackdown on pro-Palestinian protesters.
Khalil’s legal team said they planned to quickly get him on a plane back to New York, where he’ll reunite with his wife and his two month old son, who was born while he was in detention. NPR
Khalil plans to continue advocating for Palestinian rights and protesting the war in Gaza, according to NPR.
He has also expressed interest in continuing to engage with lawmakers to promote his cause, reports Al Jazeera. ….
“Let’s be clear, Mahmoud was detained for his political speech,” said Professor Nadia Abu El-Hajj, co-director of Columbia’s Center for Palestine Studies.
Another Columbia professor, Marianne Hirsch, the daughter of Holocaust survivors who grew up in communist Romania, said the arrest “brought back my most tormenting childhood memories.”
