Was at Temple University in Philadelphia on April 12, 2011 in Gladfelter Hall
There was a torrential rain outside so the audience may have been small but they were very diverse (age wise and well as politically).
Earlier, at Temple, there had been an event in support of sharia. Too bad some of those in attendance didn’t take advantage of this opportunity to hear of Nonie’s life experience under sharia…
There was one glitch in the evening, the university failed to supply any amplification (even though it had been requested) This fellow made a small commotion. Was it the lack of amplification…or because Nonie was discussing shaheeds?
Thought he left….but then I saw him in the back (so it must not have been about sound)
But everyone managed to make sure they were heard. Pro and Con…. This one fellow seened to be a student advocate for those who doubted Nonie’s gracious wisdom.
Nonie Darwish is an impressively brave woman. Her message about the dangers of Sharia was confidently clear and honest.
Unfortunately, those of the student body who came with their minds closed to Nonie’s presentation, seemed to leave with their minds unchanged.
Kudos to the students at Temple U (particularly Alvaro Watson)for daring to bring Nonie and the Truth about Sharia to the campus.
In that sense, mission accomplished. Case closed. They are incompatible. Sharia is with out a doubt, in opposition to the American Constitution

On March 10, 2011, David Horowitz spoke at Brooklyn College . He was invited to speak in opposition to the annual Hate-a-Jew Week (aka Israel-Apartheid Week ) and due to the threats from the anarchists on-campus, we had to pass through security before we were permitted to enter the auditorium.
The title of his presentation was “The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict : Myths and Facts”. The video that follows is the complete 60 minute presentation by Horowitz followed by the Q and A.
This event was nearly aborted by a lack of support from the Jewish organizations and faculty at Brooklyn College but thanks to Yosef Sobol, a brave undergrad at Brooklyn College who invited Horowitz to speak and the only faculty member willing to sponsor him, Mitchell Langbert, all went off as planned.
Horowitz would present the other side of the story thereby giving the students an opportunity to think for themselves.
With their eyes wides shut, all that was heard from the local anarchists during the entire 90 minutes was their knee-jerk cries of racist as they muttered in the background.
The back rows were made up mostly of those who came to challenge Horowitz, not to listen to him.
They had hoped to shut down free-speech at Brooklyn College but with the extra security their planned insurgency fell-flat and possibly due to the monsoon rains, their turn-out was surprisingly small.
And Horowitz filled the auditorium with those who came to listen and learn’ respectfully.
Other than a few rude outbursts, it all went fairly smoothly. The fellow in the blue -shirt seemed to be one of the leaders of the resistance…
Their assault on free-speech came-off with a whimper instead of a bang.
However, there was a predictable melt-down that brought the Q and A to an abrupt end but, in spite of than slight blip in the proceedings, David Horowitz, Yosef Sobel (the student leader ) and Mitchell Langbert ( the faculty advisor ) succeeded in chipping away at the Palestinian Myths and Lies so worshiped by these Nazis as “Facts”.
And based on their snippy reactions as they left, these dedicated anarchists remained committed to their ignorant delusions. Think for themselves? Nope: Not interested.
But when they started posting on this event, these leftists, predictably lied and twisted the facts to fit their reality by releasing a propaganda hit piece on you tube. Filmed by the anarchist in the back row (green plaid) and posted by nn anti-Israel activist named Phillip Weiss.
Weiss posted a drastically edited version of Horowitz’s speech on YouTube without indicating that it had been altered, and posted it on the web with the title “David Horowitz Spreading Hatred@Brooklyn College.” Weiss edited the original tape so that only Horowitz’s conclusions are presented. The arguments that precede them have been cut. For example, Horowitz is shown referring to Palestinian terrorists as “Nazis” but his explanation for using this term is omitted.
Conclusion: Every critique of crimes committed by Muslim Jihadists is immediately converted into an attack on all Muslims, as a way of silencing any opposition to Muslim terror.

Over 75 interfaith coalitions and civil liberties groups are joining together on Sunday, March 6, to take a stance against bigotry, ignorance, and prejudice across the country, particularly against Muslims. (and seems there were even some Atheists…at this INTERFAITH coalition)
Def Jam‘sRussell Simmons was headlining the rally,
Russell Simmons, Chairman of RUSH Communications said, “However, we’re concerned the hearings will send the wrong message and alienate American Muslims instead of partnering with them, potentially putting their lives at risk by inciting fear and enmity.” Simmons also wrongly claimed the the King Hearings were not having any muslims testify (in this video he released)
Imam Rauf of the Cordoba Initiative was front and center….with the press all over him
And the unfortunate Rabbi Marc Schneier, President of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding (FFEU), who suggested that the hearings should be “broadened in such a way that other ethnic communities and faith communities can attest to the tremendous contribution and solidarity that American Muslims have for our country.”
Basically….they were basically ‘preaching to the choir’…Which seemed to include many young families

We here at TSM support the planned hearings in Washington , DC but are saddened to see Congressman King buckle under to the CAIR /Muslim Brotherhood machine that always plays the racist/victim card. Peter King had an opportunity to include men and women who are respected and would have been fair-minded in their presentations. It seems now that the hearings have become a weak-sister of what it could have been. Sad indeed to see a fine man blink under fire:

Yes, their signs were about more than just plan ol’ “Collective’ Bargain”. They were attacking Tea Parties, Republicans, the (selective) “rich” and FOX News; this was more than just showing SOLIDARITY for ‘the workers’.

The Labor Movement will LIFT the People Up. They honor…salute…the people of Tunisia, Egypt,Bahrain and Yemen who have LEAD the way. Claiming ‘rights’ that aren’t in the Constitution. Talking of the “General Welfare that the Labor Movement is the shining force behind the Labor Movement”. They claim there is ‘no greater force”.
Reading a list of other protests besides this one in New York, one speaker mentioned West Virginia, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, California and of course: Wisconsin.
He claimed, This is bigger than any Tea Party, insisting ‘they’ only had 2,000 while ‘we’ had a crowd of 70,000. ” He figures that to be “45 to 1”.
You’d think with those inflated numbers, they wouldn’t be so WORRIED but, clearly “they” ARE. (says VSB with smile-on-face)
And Cheer-Leader Number One (who was dressed in union-leader work-shirt “uniform”) suggested that ‘the workers’ tell anyone who asked, ” this crowd was anywhere from 500 to 20,000.” (guess that should cover any and all inflated crowd estimates)
More pithy quotes that flew out of the mouths of these union-speakers, ‘We don’t have a network (huh?) We have no billionaires (double-huh ??) the Koch brothers ?? We have ONLY the people and (they claim) Fox News will Lie about this.
And the ‘workers’ BELIEVING their cheer-leader’s lies, obediently chant: “Liars, Liars, Liars” ad nauseum about …. Fox News.
Speaker Number Two continued with, “We have to CREATE jobs now. We can’t wait (making good use of the Bush Deranged Syndrome meme) we can’t wait for for ‘trickle -down’
Speaker Number Three was from the Writers Guild (along with another entertainment union, Actors Equity) This never makes sense, since the ‘workers’ in the entertainment GUILDS have NO work if ‘the rich’ are busted. No money? They can’t employ them. Still, like good little sheep, they were there in ‘solidarity.
The Writers Guild President spoke very briefly. He chose to emphasize that this was a movement(in Wisconsin) to break the greatest force in PROGRESSIVE politics. “

Attended a session on Important of Faith and Religious Liberty (headed up my Suhail Khan…of all people). It was a TEDIOUS event. Marshall Breger lead off and he was BORING. Followed by Jennifer Bryson.
None of them really speaking to the topic…skating around it with false narratives about Catholics and Christians and all the usual straw dogs,if they ever got to Islam, the crowd had to be asleep. I left for the World Premiere of “The Ground Zero Mosque: The Second Wave of the 9/11 Attacks”
CPAC 2011, other than the fabulous World Premiere of The Ground Zero Mosque Film (by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer) wasn’t as interesting as it had been in previous years. This year’s Premiere and the 9/11 panel was riveting. Go Here for Day One and Day Two .>>.

On February 20, 2011 (Muhammad’s birthday), approximately 200 people came to Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer’s New York Premiere of their seminal, groundbreaking documentary.
This powerful film exposed the shameful media biases regarding the proposed Ground Zero Mosque; Imam Rauf and wife Daisy Kahn can do no wrong in their eyes. But, now the truth is out in this amazing documentary.
Also on hand were 911 Family members, who revealed the even more outrageous treatment they have suffered under Mayor Bloomberg and his commissions.
They have pleaded to deaf ears that this mosque not be built on the graves of their loved ones. They do NOT want a Ripley’s believe it or not memorial SEVEN floors underground.
The house was packed. Many stood. It was a deeply moving presentation and the audience was riveted, and after the screening, after the Q and A
They left even more committed to stopping this outrage.

Part 3 Rosaleen Tallon spoke of her brother Shawn, who was murdered that day. She also introduced their mother, an Irish immigrant who is proud to be an American, passing that same joy and pride on to her children.

Perhaps their smallish turnout was because the cold was a bit too much for these reptilian Jew-Haters.
Or because they were protesting Wisconsin (outside Fox) and Bahrain outside their mission….all at the same time ….they wound up spreading their cold-weather storm-troops a bit thin.
Passers-by were more perplexed rather than offended and in good NY fashion….not interested in taking their hateful propaganda flyers.
Other than singing a few LOUD hootnanny folk songs, they weren’t making much of an impression.
Not a raging success. Just a blip on the map of Lefty propaganda hate-fest. with the usual anti-Semitism and lies …
And from what I saw, the press had no interest in their repetitive speeches and 1930’s folk songs. For once the press got something right.
