Which brings me to the New York Occupy City Hall Encampment. It was suppose to end on June 30th, after the City Council vote to “Defund the NYPD“.
July 1, 2020, there was now no doubt, the anarchists were not leaving. They will never be satisfied.The now claim this autonomous zone to be untouchable.
Once the Occupy City Hall anarchists took over this public space – on June 23 – it grew quickly. The disaffected youth rushed to be a part of a revolution.
According to their signs, it’s about so much more than just “defunding”.
No matter the issues, hundreds gathered supposedly to support the Black Lives Matter charade. That was enough to keep the fervor at a pitch.
On Friday, June 26, 2020, I dropped by to take a look at the camp site. 10 years after covering Occupy Wall Street, I wandered through this newest village of Marxist occupiers. Mayor “Red Bill” de Blasio has always been enthralled with Communism so he encouraged this “peaceful” encampment to take root.
The necessary participants: disaffected twenty somethings. Looking for a life. a family . a community. Creating little towns with libraries, bodegas, first aid stations, gardens and the very necessary “learning circles”where they willingly listen to hours of indoctrination.
And food. there was plenty of FREE food (donated to the collective).
Throw in, camping in squalor: Happy campers.
June 30th arrived and the “village” was no longer temporary, nor peaceful. In the very early morning hours of the 30th, the day of the City Council vote, the defacing of public property ended all pretense. The police were now dealing with the hard core resistance.
On the 26th, I overheard a speaker in the learning circle , give this outrageous advice: If you have a job, QUIT YER JOB!

Join Rise and Resist outside the Federalist Society Gala. The Federalist Society passes itself off as a 501c3 charitable organization, but they are far from it.
They have been choosing the judges for the Federal Courts and rapidly making the judicial system more conservative.
They only vet judges who are anti-choice, anti-LGBT, and who want to limit civil rights.
Their main protest chant this evening: “We want justice back – No more partisan hacks.”

We will let them know that we see what they are doing, we hold them accountable for their actions and that we will object to their nominations.”

At approx 8 AM, patriots gathered on the south side of Madison Park to give thanks to our veterans and enlisted men and women for their service, as well as our President. They had a great turn out. Unfortunately, around 10 am, the Iraqi and Afghanistan Vets asked the NYPD Strategic Response Group to disburse our patriots from this location at Broadway and East 23rd street. (Seriously)According to the NYPD, the Iraqi and Afghanistan Vets had reserved this area for their booths. (the booths were unobstructed) The NYPD lead officer politely informed the patriots that the Iraqi and Afghanistan Vets had reserved this area for their booths ONLY so please relocate their group, away from this public thoroughfare.It seemed, however, that the police were NOT asked to disburse the Rise and Resist Marxists from this same location.The Marxists caused quite a stir performing for an eager media and grew even more outrageous once the President began to speak, RUDELY blowing whistles and shouting “lock him up”. THIS was politics as the Lefties’ protest held firm in the Iraqi vets’ location. The NYPD disbursed the patriots, but not the Rise-Resist Lefties. Was this perhaps a top-down order from Mayor “Red Bill” de Blasio?The complaints: the patriots made the Veterans Day Parade political; our commander in chief – by his presence – was making it political. Propaganda spewed by the left. Sad that some vets accepted this agitprop as fact: offended by patriotism but not by the offensive behavior and POLITICAL signs held by the Marxist/Left.The patriots hung in there, not all walked away. Wherever they stood, all were happy, positive, and respectfully thankful. It requires you to see that there’s a good ending to this, that the interests of humanity are in here. Nancy Pelosi is impeaching only on the grounds of national security and emoluments. But, look, she’s leaving the whole Fascist agenda intact, and if that happens, if he even is impeached in the House of Representatives, that will leave a ‘legitimation’ of the agenda and reduce this to an election issue, one they have a told you already they want to make secondary to economic incentives and things like that; which are important needs that people have but it’s nothing but bribery to keep your eyes off the prize of what really has to be done right now.
So, we can’t just do this based on the people on top. It has to be a ground-swell from below; that’s what you’re out here doing today. And it’s not just a matter of each one of us convincing one, it’s a matter of understanding that we’re working on … a great deal of crisis. That people are increasingly raising their heads and opening their eyes, and they have to see a movement out there that starts with thousands today and tens of thousands within a few weeks that grows to the point that we not relent on this.”

This was a great idea for a protest so I headed downtown to City Hall, looking forward to challenging Mayor de Blasio and his Marxist/Socialist Free Speech fines; fines that diminish our rights as American Citizens. The message, tell “Red Bill” de Blasio: WE Won’t Pay!
The city’s Commission on Human Rights releases a new 29-page directive …
The directive reads “‘Alien’ — used in many laws to refer to a ‘non-citizen’ person — is a term that may carry negative connotations and dehumanize immigrants, marking them as ‘other,’…The use of certain language, including ‘illegal alien’ and ‘illegals,’ with the intent to demean, humiliate, or offend a person or persons constitutes discrimination.”
The directive goes on to list several examples of acts and comments that would run afoul of the restrictions, including harassing people over their accents or grasp of English, or wielding the threat of a call to Immigration and Customs Enforcement as a tool of hate. [de Blasio Fine]

Mayor de Blasio “We Won’t Pay” was a great idea for a protest since the socialist machine intends to remake our governments, local and national. Venezuela. Cuba. Fighting back, even locally, is very important. I’m here for you, President Trump, but today was supposed to be about Mayor de Blasio’s socialist harassment and fines against free speech. Maybe next time.

“Right now there are 500,000 unauthorized workers in New York City. 99.9% of those do not have criminal records, other than committing the crime of having to cross the border without documentation. These unauthorized workers as you’ve heard, time and again, if you bought yesterday at whole foods, if you bought, you know, a garment of some local designer in So Ho or Brooklyn, these are the people who are sewing your garments and picking your fruit. It’s the reason why you have ENTIRE indigenous communities on Long Island from (? Chapa and Xauacca and D?… ?) picking our vegetables and our fruits. And it’s why we get those vegetables and fruits so cheaply because, indeed, they ARE paid less than you would have to pay a person with documents.
This doesn’t mean that WE can’t, just because Hamilton hasn’t declared this a sanctuary campus, it doesn’t mean that WE CAN’T. I mean, imagine what it would be like if every dorm room, every office, every library, every classroom were OPEN to undocumented workers who are being PERSECUTED by ICE. If we really turned this into a sanctuary, just like Judson Church next door, can you imagine the optics of ICE agents trying to come and remove a mother or a father who’s taking refuge in our university? Can you imagine the optics of ICE having to storm a university campus to remove these people?
We have a very powerful role we can play, especially in New York City, where so many, so many of our unauthorized immigrants work and..uh..play, too.
The other thing that’s very, very important to remember, especially, I love the chant, uh, you know, “Education and jobs rather than mass deportation”. But, let’s not kid ourselves. One of the reasons why Trump wants to expand ICE and deportation (and …) that’s his job program. Hiring 10, 00 or 15,000 more ICE workers, that’s the extent of his jobs program. (light laughter) And so we have to, we have to, you know, increasing the military [a ?… after his jobs program] So we need to make this evident. It’s incumbent upon us, like I said, to be the voice, to be a sanctuary movement beyond whatever happens to may or may not declare.
One of the…we have to remember that sanctuary came into this country as part of the abolition movement. And so sanctuary never saw its role as limited to protecting, you know, the slaves that ran away. They saw their role as (??) the voices of those who have been enslaved. Just as we have to understand our role as very privileged faculty and students and staff (??) the voices of unauthorized workers in our community.
Beyond the DACA students that we have here, who we of course have to protect, let’s not forget that DACA students do still have some authorization. But what about their friends? What about their families? We have to figure out ways of (??) as a united community in the face of this blatant racist law that Donald Trump is trying to enforce.
The other thing that’s very important is, I’m going to get a little nerdy on you all, is when Trump talks about all the jobs that NAFTA destroyed in the United States. What he doesn’t tell you is all the jobs that NAFTA destroyed in Mexico. (applause/cheers) 4 million farms in Mexico were put out of work and when you put a Mexican farm out of work you put generations of workers out of work. Its not just the one farm owner. No. You’re actually setting into motion hundreds of people per farm looking for labor.
And that’s why they’re here, doing that agricultural work; those agricultural jobs. It’s not a coincidence that 11 million Mexican unauthorized workers who are here, came after the passage of NAFTA. Because NAFTA destroyed jobs in that economy, just as it destroyed here. ‘Cause the sole purpose of NAFTA was to lower the cost of labor across the Americas. It did so very successfully. And one of the consequences that we have now had to bring in to our community, people who are willing to do work, jobs that… whose payment has been pushed down.
So, we have to remember that, when NAFTA was negotiated, it negotiated for the free passage of goods. It negotiated the free passage of capital, but what was left out of that dream (??) labor. So that’s what unauthorized workers are doing here, they’re working. Because they can’t find jobs in their country and because the price of labor has been pushed so far down that U.S. citizens can’t afford to reproduce themselves, doing the jobs at that hourly wage.
So, uh, anyway (?) (cheers/applause) We don’t have to communicate. We don’t have to wait for Hamilton to declare this a sanctuary campus and to make it a sanctuary campus. Let’s figure out ways of inviting those unauthorized workers into our class rooms, into our dorms, into our residential campuses, into our offices to share their stories and to, also, find refuge. Thank you.”

Unfortunately, around 10 am, the Iraqi and Afghanistan Vets asked the NYPD Strategic Response Group to disburse our patriots from this location at Broadway and East 23rd street. (Seriously)
According to the NYPD, the Iraqi and Afghanistan Vets had reserved this area for their booths. (the booths were unobstructed) 
The NYPD lead officer politely informed the patriots that the Iraqi and Afghanistan Vets had reserved this area for their booths ONLY so please relocate their group, away from this public thoroughfare.
It seemed, however, that the police were NOT asked to disburse the Rise and Resist Marxists from this same location.
The Marxists caused quite a stir performing for an eager media and grew even more outrageous once the President began to speak, RUDELY blowing whistles and shouting “lock him up”. 
THIS was politics as the Lefties’ protest held firm in the Iraqi vets’ location.
The NYPD disbursed the patriots, but not the Rise-Resist Lefties. Was this perhaps a top-down order from Mayor “Red Bill” de Blasio?
The complaints: the patriots made the Veterans Day Parade political; our commander in chief – by his presence – was making it political. Propaganda spewed by the left. Sad that some vets accepted this agitprop as fact: offended by patriotism but not by the offensive behavior and POLITICAL signs held by the Marxist/Left.
The patriots hung in there, not all walked away. Wherever they stood, all were happy, positive, and respectfully thankful. 
Giving thanks to our vets as they passed by was an important gesture.

DID NOT hear the Marxists supporting the troops or the vets; support and thanks came from the patriots, even as they were asked to move away from the Iraqi/Afghanistan vets. They did so respectfully. [
Real patriotism is giving thanks and praise to those who serve (which includes our President). G-d help us turn the tide.
