October 10, 2020, perhaps Teddy won. I checked periodically, and noted on September 1, 2020, he was still there.
His statue remained.
Did the protests succeed? After all the press about this “racially insensitive” statue of Teddy Roosevelt, the statue has gone in to the dust bin of “no longer news worthy” stories. Teddy still stands and no one seems to care. [ NY Post ]
No date had been set for the removal, a spokesperson for the mayor’s office told CNN in their June 22 report.

It would have seemed relevant for the media to follow-up with the removal. But, silence is all that followed. Perhaps the protest was a success and the left-media didn’t want to report that angle. Whatever, for all the noise, ’tis a puzzlement.

Hard-core LEFTists like BLM, Socialist Alternative NYC, Trump/Pence Out Now and Rise and Resist gathered in “Lenape Circle” to OPPOSEDFascism.
Jay W. Walker (who organized this protest) is an organizer-activist and co-founder of the Reclaim Pride Coalition, Gays Against Guns, Rise and Resist and Refuse Fascism (a front group for the Revolutionary Communist Party.)
Before they marched into Central Park, he spoke against police violence aimed at protestors. As always, the soc/commies are victims of the FASCIST police.

The NYPD officers, waiting for the march, were ridiculed and assailed with accusations of violence.
Walker was pleased to announce they had ‘tricked’ the NYPD into placing vehicles and officers on the south side of the park, knowing they were marching north to Central Park’s Seneca Village (near 72nd St and 5th Ave)
“Seneca Village existed from 1825 through 1857. Seneca Village was Manhattan’s first significant community of African American property owners. By the 1840s, it had become a multi-ethnic community African Americans, Irish, and German immigrants, and perhaps a few Native Americans. In 1855 … within two years, Seneca Village would be razed and its identity erased by the creation of Central Park.”
As for the NYPD, they still seem committed to “protect and serve”, in spite of the lack of support received from our communist-loving Mayor de Blasio.

Unfortunately, Mayor “deBozo” continues to deconstruct the city with lock downs as he relentlessly works to neuter the NYPD. Most recently, de Blasio is removing the NYPD from certain emergency calls. His pilot program will send Mental Health workers to lead/replace the police in what they describe as non-violent emergency calls. It will debut in Feb. 2021 (good luck with predicting who’s armed)

Meanwhile, this day in DC, over a million MAGA patriots gathered PEACEFULLY.
But they were attacked viciously by the LEFT. Some questioned whether the DC police were able or willingly to protect and serve the peaceful citizens who were just trying to go home.

Nov. 1, 2020. The Refuse Fascism Soc/Marxist /Fasiciti, looking for an excuse to protest and march, met in Madison Square Park at 11 am.
Their bravado as always proclaimed SOCIALISM to be the solution to all the problems in the WORLD.
NYC must be MAGA FREE, cause the DEVIL is Donald J. Trump. ( her hat says Third Wife)
The speakers hit us with the usual hateful agitprop and the very Gay “Sing Out Louise” Chorus sang their playful hate with much glee.
Before they marched, they claimed to be tracking the Republican caravans and would “brilliantly” confront them as they did the previous week end in Times Sq. However, the Repubs kept the caravans so secret that many Republicans couldn’t even find them.
As for the March of the Socialists, the enemedia claimed there were 300 socialists who marched out of the park and toward the Hudson. Maybe about 75-100. Certainly NOT 300.
Since there was no caravan to intercept, the anarchists chose to rumble with the police. Anything for a photo-op. I think even the police expected this to be a bigger event as there were way too many police for the actual amount of protestors, who had NOTHING and no one to protest (except the police)
Tomorrow, November 3, there will be chaos. They are planning on it. They said so in their speeches. Feeling their oats and ready to attack. G-d help us all.

NYPD arrested a reporter at the MAGA caravan counter protest at 10th Ave. and 24th St. The journalist has a press badge and a camera. The crowd can be heard pointing out he’s a reporter as police throw him to the ground and cuff him. The reporter that NYPD arrested is a woman.
