EMPTY threats? Teddy Roosevelt Statue Still Stands at NYC Natural History Museum (crickets)

As Mayor “Red Bill” focuses on the capricious opening and closing of this once vibrant city (he still refuses to even throw a bone to the theatres) we are left with the summation that this must be all part of deBlasio’s communist playbook.: Control, Confusion and Ruin.

The Saga of Teddy Roosevelt’s statue was apparently a moment’s diversion with no legs.

October 10, 2020, perhaps Teddy won.  I checked periodically, and noted on September 1, 2020, he was still there.

His statue remained.

Did the protests succeed? After all the press about this “racially insensitive” statue of Teddy Roosevelt, the statue has gone in to the dust bin of “no longer news worthy” stories. Teddy still stands and no one seems to care. [ NY Post ]

No date had been set for the removal, a spokesperson for the mayor’s office told CNN in their June 22 report.

“The protest group held signs that read “DEFEND OUR MONUMENTS” and “Can not learn from the past if we erase HISTORY!!” as they heard from speakers during the hour-long demonstration.

“Teddy Roosevelt believed in an America without hyphens. Not white Americans, not black Americans, not brown Americans. Just Americans,” said David Marcus, a correspondent for The Federalist and contributor to The Post’s opinion pages, including about the decision to oust the statue.

“He believed in a future for this country where we would all live together peacefully, and that’s the future that I see in front of me right here,” said Marcus.”

It would have seemed relevant for the media to follow-up with the removal. But, silence is all that followed. Perhaps the protest was a success and the left-media didn’t want to report that angle.  Whatever, for all the noise, ’tis a puzzlement.
