3rd Annual “Indigenous” Peoples Day is Hate America, Hate White People Day

DECOLONIZE! RECLAIM! RE IMAGINE! Indigenous Peoples Day …  aka Anti-Columbus, Anti-White Peoples’ Day

Oct. 8, 2018. 3 pm. Outside the American Museum of Natural History (that Hall of White Supremacy) TOXIC!

Anarchists (Offensive. Misguided. Tools) hosted this 3rd annual tour (and even managed to drop protest banners inside)

Determined to REMAKE America, which includes: NO MORE KAVANAUGHS.

They Hate White People. They Hate America.

They HATE this museum.

ABOLISH the Natural History Museum and #decolonizethisplace

A couple of cowards vandalized the museum subway station.

Found immigration themed ads in midtown, meant to shame us all.
“Don’t be afraid of ANYONE”

When the RIGHTS of Immigrants are DENIED,
The RIGHTS of citizens are at RISK.”

Like we hate immigrants … it’s legal vs ILLEGAL.

Back to Natural History Museum protest HOSTED by: Chinatown Art Brigade 唐人街藝術隊/ 唐人街艺术队 Community;  South Asia Solidarity Initiative Political Organization;Decolonize This PlaceArtists; American Indian Community House Social ServiceCommunity ServiceOrganization.

They gathered in front of the statue of white-supremacist, Theodore Roosevelt.

Important announcements were set to the beating of drums to inspire the indigenous peoples and their supporters.  (See Video)

FORTUNATELY, they were NOT ALLOWED to throw Red Paint on Teddy Roosevelt this year. (LOTS of BARRICADES)

See 2017 vandalism:

From their Face Book page: 1.We need your support to make “Indigenous Peoples Day” strong and beautiful.

2. Join “Liberation Drum Circles” for a community drum circle and chant writing.

Their centerfold for Indigenous Peoples Day 2018 Action Brochure is coming to a school near you  …  if you let them ….

Not all was about colonizing. Overheard this polite debate on why Dr. Ford should be jailed for perjury. (or not)

Some unpleasant  facts the protestors have NOT included in their NEW and IMPROVED Museum of Natural History brochures.

“Columbus wrote about a tribe of natives called the Caribs. They would attack the other peaceful tribes, take captives for slaves and would eat them. The young boys were castrated and forced into slavery. The men were consumed. The women were concubines and if they bore a male child that child would be eaten. So when you celebrate “Indigenous Peoples Day”, will you be honoring the Caribs too?”

Intense debate with anarchist claiming America is HER land, not the colonizers.

More pithy t-shirts (click pic to enlarge) and their Week of Action DEMANDS: End Zero Tolerance, Hire Black Teachers, Mandate Black History/Ethnic Studies.

Anarchists explained why this year’s actions remain imperative: “After three years now of discussions with the museum that have led nowhere, we report that they do not appreciate their complicity in perpetuating structures of oppression, nor do they recognize the urgency present in addressing the harm inflicted by their exhibits, representations, and narratives in advancing patriarchal, white supremacist, and euro-centric representations of indigenous, black and brown bodies.” [Face Book]

“They ignore calls for reparations and repatriation. So, we return to the museum to let them know they cannot wait us out and our demands will not wither.”

“This is a family friendly event (- F-ing White People-) that moves towards applying more pressure on the museum through escalatory tactics. We seek to decolonize, reclaim and re-imagine this Hall of White Supremacy”: FIRST NATIONS WERE HERE FIRST!

Proud Americans, in SUPPORT of AMERICAN LAWS, countered the indigenous protest.
