October 4, 2018 (4:30 – 6:30 pm ) NY-JDL joined protest against Columbia University’s lack of protection for Students Supporting Israel. (SSI) [click picture for Flickr slide show]
“Students Supporting Israel (SSI) have been harassed and intimated time and again. Columbia has done nothing to protect the pro-Israel students, and has shown apathy and total disregard for their safety.
All Columbia University students deserve protection! Freedom of speech for all! Members from Students Supporting Israel, Columbia’s chapter of Alums for Campus Fairness, faculty, and the local community have had enough. We demand fair and equal treatment by the administration!
Last semester SSI filed a detailed, thorough, and evidence-based complaint documenting our members’ harassment by anti-Zionist groups and individuals on campus, and of their clearly numbered violations of the CU Rules of Conduct. And yet, Columbia University has taken no action, summarily dismissed the complaint, and left its students without any protection from harassment and bullying. Since then, SSI submitted three more complaints, and the Columbia administration has failed to appropriately address any of them.
SSI has spoken with university administrators on numerous occasions, but all of their requests have fallen on deaf ears. It is time to show the university that we will not stand by quietly while SSI and other pro-Israel students are harassed and systematically silenced on its own campus.” ++
Unfortunately, they were ill-advised, practicing, rather than opposing, the type of censorship they had come out to protest.
They attempted to censor the NY-JDL. + I would suggest a new advisor+
A parent asked to speak to us re the reasons the students were protesting outside Columbia University’s gates, challenging the university’s blatant anti-Semitism. I wonder, was she aware that the SSI students were guilty of censorship … against the NY-JDL? Most unfortunate.
THEN, holding her supposedly BANNED children’s Book,” P is for Palestine“, was opportunist and HYPOCRITE: Golbarg Bashi.
Her book was banned? By whom? Where? When?
She was rude. Confrontational as she railed at the protestors in front of Columbia, particularly the NY-JDL.
[The Geller Report] A student group at Columbia University protested on Thursday against what it described as the administration’s tolerance of harassment directed at pro-Israel students […] This time I will no longer sit quietly and allow others to dehumanize my people and my community,”
“The administration is repeatedly failing to forcefully respond to antisemitism, and so it comes back worse and worse each time. A line needs to be drawn and it needs to be drawn now.” [The Geller Report]
On Sunday, September 16th, Ari Fuld, HY”D, (may Hashem avenge his blood), was brutally murdered in Gush Etzion, Israel by a Jihadist Muslim Arab.
After exiting a store, Ari was stabbed in the back. That didn’t stop Ari. Ari chased the terrorist and shot him. He made sure that the terrorist didn’t hurt anyone else. That was Ari. Our friend and protector.
Ari was a Zionist and warrior. He served in the IDF, was a reservist, worked tirelessly to raise funds to assist the soldiers and brought us news from Israel that we would never have seen unless he broadcast it. Ari was a non-stop activist for Israel; online and on the streets. He was a father, husband, brother, son . He was loved and respected worldwide.

On Thursday, September 20th, 4:30 pm outside of the Permanent Observer Mission of the “state” of “palestine a vigil was held to remember Ari Fuld. To stand up for Israel and let the “palestinians” know that targeting Jews for murder must stop.

We will not be silent as our brothers and sisters are targeted for murder because they are Jewish in Israel. Remember the warrior.
Demonstrators gathered outside the British Consulate in Manhattan, organized by Amcha-Coalition for Jewish Concerns, on the day before Yom Kippur eve to denounce England’s Labour Party chief Jeremy Corbyn‘s anti-Semitism and the hate he has engendered in Britain’s political and social systems.[https://coalitionforjewishvalues.org] [/https://amchainitiative.org/about/]
“Holding placards such as “Corbyn: Evil Anti-Semite. For Shame!”, 30 demonstrators descended on the British Consulate in mid-Manhattan on Monday, September 17th, the day before Yom Kippur eve, to demand that British Labour Party head Jeremy Corbyn either “do tshuva” or resign. The action was not against the current Conservative Party government, but of concern that given today’s political instability in England, Labour could assume power.” [Amcha-Coalition for Jewish Concerns press release]
“Corbyn is leading Labour toward anti-Semitism, and British Jews are right to be worried. In 2009, he invited Islamist “friends from Hamas” to the House of Commons and said that the idea that the group “should be labelled as a terrorist organisation by the British government is really a big, big historical mistake.” In 2010, he hosted an event (also at the House of Commons) on Holocaust Memorial Day in which a Jewish Auschwitz survivor compared the Israeli government to the Nazi regime. In 2014, he attended a ceremony in Tunisia and reportedly laid a wreath on the grave of one the Black September terrorists who murdered eleven Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Before the Iranian state broadcaster, Press TV, was banned in January 2012, he reportedly accepted up to £20,000 for his appearances on the channel.” [National Review]
Video 1 :Hebrew Institute of Riverdale Associate Rabbi Ezra Seligsohn declared in a talk punctuated by chants from the demonstrators: “We are here to raise the alarm about growing anti-semitism across the world that’s embodied by the man Jeremy Corbyn. At this time, just before Yom Kippur, we speak of tshuva, repentence. There are two ways, one in our brain — we read about Jeremy Corbyn, a problematic, evil person and think we don’t want him to come to a position of power. The other is what you standing here have done, act on your beliefs — and this is full tshuva, full repentence. When Corbyn equates Israel and zionism with Nazism, we say, am yisrael chai — the Jewish people live! When he links arms with terrorists, we say, am yisrael chai! When he shares platforms with Holocaust deniers, we say, am yisrael chai!” Rabbi Seigsohn concluded by blowing a shofar, a symbol of both a call to repentance and alarm.
Video 2 : Judy Kadish, co-executive director of Americans for a Safe Israel, added: “It’s so important that we come out and stand outside the British Consulate, representing a country which is now our ally. But Jeremy Corbyn is rising to power, not despite his anti-semitism, but using it as his lever to create a following. It’s scary. Former British rabbi Jonathan Sacks said that never in his lifetime did he think this would happen again, but here it is. We will not honor a man, Jeremy Corbyn, who’s honored terrorists, whose members have told Jews supporting Israel to resign from posts in the Labour Party. He should do repentance.” The crowd shouted: Corbyn resign! Corbyn resign!”.
Video 3 : New York Board of Rabbis director Rabbi Joseph Potasnik told the crowd and hundreds of passersby: “We can actually commend Jeremy Corbyn for something no one else has done — bringing both left and right together. They agree: he’s an anti-semite. You can’t stand with Hamas, call them honorable, and think you’ll be honored. You can’t stand at the graves of the Munich Olympic terrorists and say you’re honorable. We all hope for repentance because we believe in miracles, but Corbyn won’t, so let him finally do the honorable thing and resign. We will not go away until he goes away.”
“The snap demonstration came the day after the normally low-profile British Jewish community turned out 2500 protesters against Corbyn in Manchester, a clear sign of their deep distress over the spread of anti-semitic hate in Labour with Corbyn at its helm.” [Amcha-Coalition for Jewish Concerns press release]
Powerful words on the floor of Parliament from British Rabbi, Jonathan Sacks , on growing anti-Semitism. He ended with, “I never thought I would see this in my lifetime … that is why I cannot stay silent.”

“On Friday, March 30 an estimated 30,000 Palestinians in Gaza took part in the “Great March of Return” along the electric fence that has kept more than 2 million people ‘imprisoned’ for more than a decade.
The march, organized by a cross section of civil society, grassroots activists and political factions in the occupied enclave, called for an end of the Gaza’s brutal siege and the right of return for ‘Palestinian’ refugees. Conditions in Gaza are currently ‘unlivable,’ as described by the UN, with severe electricity shortages and water contamination, on top of periodic military assaults by Israeli forces.
(They claim that) ‘Israel reacted to families walking and chanting with a brutal show of force. Israeli snipers opened fire with live ammunition against the protestors and deployed tear gas against them by drones, killing at least 20 ‘Palestinians’ and injuring more than 1,500, half of which were shot with live ammunition.
And yet, tens of thousands of ‘Palestinians’ remain steadfast. They aim to stay 45 days until May 15, the 70th anniversary of the ‘Nakba,’ Arabic for ‘catastrophe,’ when 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes for the creation of the state of Israel.
We condemn these killings. We mourn the 20 ‘Palestinians’ killed. (And even more outrageous) the protestors claim that, ‘New York City stands with the tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza in this historic new wave of organizing and their quest to return home.’
Join us to show solidarity with the tens of thousands of ‘Palestinians’ in the besieged Gaza Strip carrying out the historic #GreatReturnMarch and to mourn the 20 ‘Palestinians’ shot and killed by Israeli forces along the border.”

I saw the usual Soc/Commie/Fascisti “Palestinians” at this “Hate on Israel” protest.
And also, the patriots from NY-JDL who managed a successful counter-protest, marching round and round — and round — these militant anti-Semites; all the while holding the Israeli flag VERY HIGH above the crowd.
Slide show at Union Square
A few of the anti-Israel Fascisti were assigned to the JDL marchers, sticking like glue and attempting to block their march, hoping that ultimately the NYPD would remove the patriots from this public square.
Videos, Part 1-Nerdeen Kiswani from NY-Students For Justice in ‘Palestine’ lead this action – SCREAMING into her megaphone – while patriots from NY-JDL (Jewish Defense League)marched while holding an Israeli flag high, VERY HIGH, above these militants.
Part 2 – Actress Kathleen Chalfant marched with the anti-Israel contingent…
…. seen at approx. 3:45 in the video.
Part 3 – There was much pushing and blocking – attempting to force the JDL out of the public square – it did NOT work. No laws were broken (by the JDL) They just keep walking, exercising their freedom speech and assembly.
Part 4- Eventually debates were taking place, some very contentious, like this exchange – instigated by a man (at 1:13) claiming he is a REAL Hebrew based on the color of his skin. His obnoxious ‘facts’ was challenged by a young Israeli.
And then, I spotted a familiar face, Nancy Mansour, smiling, laughing as she waved her ‘fakestinian’ flag.
Nancy’s method of protest is usually very aggressive. She would relentlessly block any opposition and usually get the NYPD involved, on her side. But, today, Mansour has a new tact: smiles and dialogue.
Her questions were intended to twist my every word under the polite guise of dialogue. (she has a very proper British accent) She was so reasonable. (I was so ill-informed, uniformed, MISinformed) I had nothing right.
Questions came rapidly from Mansour : How can I support the Israeli (IDF) murders. The OCCUPATION. (She is a fast talker so responding was a challenge)
She stops me each time: I don’t know the truth about the Koran. Islam. Palestine. Israel. The EUROPEAN Jews should go back to Europe. And of course, there is no two State solution. Bottom line: I am guilty of gross generalizations that have dehumanized the ‘Palestinians’.
New info, Nancy is a Palestinian Christian. She says members of her family had been murdered by the Israelis, for decades. The Israelis are the enemy, not the “Palestinians”. (and she finds my air quotes and “fakestinians” to be demeaning)
Nancy’s father had her read the Quran, the Bible, the Torah and she ascribes to the “they worship the same G-d meme.” (How can she allow herself to be so wrong)
I attempted briefly to open a discussion on Islam: We must “speak truthfully about God, and the only way we can do that is to use the names God gave Himself. The God of the Bible is not Allah, and Allah is not the God of the Bible.” That went no where.
Mansour was unwilling to answer the few questions I asked of her regarding the murder of Jewish families sleeping in their homes. The bombing of busses and cafes. MURDERING Israeli citizens. She actually said, these murders are lies, Didn’t happen.
Her position unswerving: No peace until the OCCUPATION is over and the IDF murders end.
I know we ( Existence Is Resistance ) have participated in the past in events like the Gaza 5K run but in all honesty, we are done supporting this temporary, enabling bullshit ‘power’ called the United Nation
Palestinians do not need fucking food stamps, Palestinians need Justice and Freedom.
Shitty schools, shittier healthcare and sardines provided by the UN are basically helping continue the occupation and the UN os basically taking our money and footing the bill to continue Israels Occupation.
The United Nations should take all the money and actually hold Israel accountable for its atrocious war crimes against the Palestinian people and the 60 plus International laws it has violated.
Interesting, her attack on the U.N., but even so, we reached an impasse: there will be No Peace as long as anti-Israel activists like Nancy Mansour refuse to consider THEY might be wrong. (They REALLY might be WRONG.)
The Judea and Samaria Area covers a portion of the territory designated by the ancient names Judea and Samaria. Samaria corresponds to part of the ancient Kingdom of Israel, also known as the Northern Kingdom. Judea corresponds to part of the ancient Kingdom of Judah, also known as the Southern Kingdom.
The RT video of the action at the Gaza border reveals that the April 6th ‘Tire Protest’ was at best a pollution success.
Ofir Gendelman, an Israeli diplomat and current spokesperson to the Arab media in the Prime Minister’s Office…Gendelman pointed out the the burning tires would create massive amounts of pollution and destroy nearby agriculture, adding to the suffering of the Palestinians. “But Hamas doesn’t care,” … meanwhile… Israel has halted all imports of tires into the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian Authority official said on Sunday.“We have been informed by the Israeli side that imports of tires have been halted until further notice,” !!
April 4, 2018 – 4 pm to 7 pm- Both sides met up at Third Avenue and 40th street for this “Dayenu, Gaza and STOP the LIES” protest-kaddish for terrorists, the pro-Israel NY-JDL and the IF NOT NOW Leftist Jews.
The anti Israel “If Not Now” Jews then did a VERY short march to 633 Third avenue (outside the Union for Reform Judaism.)
Outside 633 they attempted to give more speeches as they read the names of the 17 dead terrorists (Kaddish) while the NY-JDL patriots chanted LOUDLY back at them.
The contrast between these two opposing groups, feeling sad and worried about the future as we listened to and watched these American Jewish youths rally outside the Union for Reform Judaism (and say Kaddish for the dead Hamas terrorists.)
But also encouraged by the determination of the patriots to fight BACK against the LIES of the LEFT. The TRUTH shall make you FREE.
Flickr side show.
Part 1 video it begins as both sides meet
Part 2 the (very short) march to 633 Third Ave.
Part 3- “Kaddish” for the Muslim terrorists, as they mourned their deaths …. which enraged the patriots … which is when I heard cries of “GOOD” and “17 More” coming from the patriots!
“17 dead, over a thousand injured after Palestinians clash with IDF on Gaza border.”
“PA leader Mahmoud Abbas said on Friday that Israel is responsible for the deaths of Gazan protesters who participated in the Friday riots near the border fence.
”The marches today prove that the Palestinian people will not aid any plan that wishes to close the lid on the Palestinian issue”, he said.
”Jerusalem will remain Arab,” said Abbas.
The US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital angered many in the Arab and Muslim world, leading some Palestinians to argue that the US may no longer be a suitable peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians.”
