“Fight Together, Strike to Win” – Marx at 200, May Day 2018 NYC (pics & vids)

“Fight Together! Strike to Win! Migrants and Workers Run the World!, a May Day celebration of workers, migrants and all oppressed people in Union Square.

Noon, May 1, 2018. However, the usual location, Union Square South at 14th street, was oddly empty. Then I saw WHY. There were signs directing everyone to 17th street, to the North end of the square.

Once there, I  saw an isolated anti-Commie protestor at this new location; a union man from New Jersey. Solid. Proud as he worked his “pen” with a double-sided sign. Then, once inside the larger pen, I found the busy Commie-bees setting up their Socialism and Marxism tables. Capitalism reigned as they hawked their books, t-shirts and BUTTONS. Lots of books. Lots of buttons.
If Reason prevailed we would forget the books, t-shirts and buttons and declare this day, “International Victims of Communism Day 2018″

May Day is a fitting time to commemorate the tens of millions of victims of this murderous ideology: COMMUNISM. [Volokh Conspiracy]

May Day began as a holiday for socialists and labor union activists, not just communists. But over time, the date was taken over by the Soviet Union and other communist regimes and used as a propaganda tool to prop up their [authority]. I suggest that we instead use it as a day to commemorate those regimes’ millions of victims. The authoritative Black Book of Communism estimates the total at 80 to 100 million dead, greater than that caused by all other twentieth century tyrannies combined. We appropriately have a Holocaust Memorial Day. It is equally appropriate to commemorate the victims of the twentieth century’s other great totalitarian tyranny. And May Day is the most fitting day to do so….

But, the Commies avoid TRUTH with their revisionist history and false narratives: Capitalism Bad, Communism Good : Hypocrites All.So, with their $19 a day truck (banners attached), the stage was set for the communist shills to blast familiar agitprop to an oddly small May Day “crowd”. (video)

As usual, the speakers kept the “raptured commies” raging against the Capitalist Machine. Raging against Israel. Racism. “Islamophobia”Recruitment is de rigueur: hook the naive passersby, sucker them into hating-on America, the West and Capitalism and they are owned.
As Workers UNITE! Against the Capitalist Machinerang through the air, the “choir “obediently  raged on and on against Capitalism.

Another anomaly, even though this was a public park, the Reds created ‘guards’ – unchallenged- to intimidate the “unwashed’ from entering their “sacred” PUBLIC  space.

Since the Parks Department forced the Commies to gather at the North End of Union Square , they were NOT happy;  blaming the very small turnout on location. (small pleasures)

Interesting moment, a kid who was NOT a communist and then a girl from the radical Left who told us to Shut Up.

Jovi Val spoke with this kid … who was NOT a communist. Smart kid. Audio not the best (I was using my cell) and amplification from stage was a bit loud but you can get the kid’s drift. And THEN this girl from the RED Brigade came over to tell us to SHUT UP!

We need to LEARN, said Commie babe, and LISTEN. Yeah, that’s the ticket SHUT UP!
After all, this is an important year, as they “celebrate” Marx 200.

Washington Post : Marx German Hometown- 200 years

is split over whether a democratic nation such as Germany — a nation divided for nearly a half-century due in no small part to its native son’s theories — should be erecting monuments that are paid for, designed and built by an authoritarian one such as China. Marx wrote the cookbook for communist dictatorships all over the world.

Not so long ago, Germany was tearing down statues of Marx. An icon of communist East Germany, his likeness scrubbed from many a town square after the country’s reunification under democracy and capitalism in 1990.

Whether Marx would have approved of how his theories have been applied is the subject of fierce debate. Many defenders insist he should not be held responsible for the way his ideas were distorted for murderous ends decades after his death. And love him or hate him, there’s no denying that the problems he identified — particularly the tendency of capitalism to create conflict between classes — remain relevant two centuries later.

Modern-day Trier, with a population just north of 100,000, reflects little evidence that Marx’s ideas had much impact locally. Icons of capitalism — McDonald’s hamburgers, luxury watches, designer clothing brands — are on sale in the grand central square. Marx’s boyhood home, meanwhile, has become a “euro store,” where everything from Chinese-made flip-flops to sunglasses can be purchased with loose change. The Marx statue itself stares out at a hair salon.”

From what was observed in Union Square NYC this day, the Revolution continues to march on to the discordant tunes of Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong – three major Communist mass-murderers, and the Fools and Tools are CELEBRATING.
