Feb 14 thru March 5th, 2017 – Duffy Sq (46th and Bdwy) – NYC – Valentines Day means Peace. Love. And never waste a moment to preach to the masses with“ Smart Art”: “We Were Strangers Once, Too”(Barack Obama) is easily a product of Agitprop 101. (no need to sign up – brought to you ‘free-of-charge’ by your local art committee)
Just what I would expect from these public-funded committees. Our tax dollars at work, approving ODD ART projects with a politically correct MESSAGE.
Smart Art – de rigueur — if you please
A curiosity that requires maps and guides – absolutely
The installation designed by “The Office for Creative Research” beat out several others to be the winner of this year’s Times Square “Valentine Heart Design” Competition. “The exhibit is about 10 feet high and features 33 poles inscribed and colored to represent the different places where some of the foreign-born NYC residents came from. As visitors move around the sculpture, they get a different perspective. Once they arrive at the designated spot, a heart is revealed.”
However, I was on my way to the “I am a Muslim, too” rally. No time to ponder, wander nor wade through those poles. Deciphering this IMMIGRANT friendly ART installation was not high on my bucket list.
Perhaps “We Were Strangers Once, Too” was all too easy to explain, translate, decipher. Smart Art to educate the masses by asking (subliminally of course) ” WHY does that racist Donald TRUMP – POTUS 45- HATE Immigrants?” SO, make your hearts light up by REMEMBERING, in the words of Barack Hussein Obama – POTUS 44 – that, “We Were (ALL) Strangers Once, Too.” (whatever)
Next stop, was 48th street and “I Am a Muslim,Too“, Part Deux
