Enjoying the lower gas prices? Not for long, according to OPEC.
In a move once again to raise the price of oil and gasoline, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) – which exercises monopoly control over world oil supply – announced recently that it is cutting its daily oil production by a record two million barrels a day, starting in January.
This is just the latest reminder of why we urgently need to end America ’s dependence on oil to fuel our cars. Now more than ever, our continued dependence on oil – and the countries that control it – threatens our economic survival and our national security.
Click here to register for the Citizens for Energy Freedom “Energy Independence in 2009” conference in Jupiter, Florida, January 17-18, to learn what you can do to help America achieve energy independence and break free from oil.
**The registration deadline is Monday, 12 January, 2009.**
WHO WE ARE
Citizens for Energy Freedom is the grassroots movement of the Set America Free Coalition. We’re a diverse group of citizens, scientists, and energy and transportation experts—from right to left, and from every corner of America . However, we’re united in the goal of freeing our country from the whims of the OPEC monopoly.
Meet others who want to win independence; link up with them to form local and national organizations to win the battle against the oil cartel.
Hear from leading experts on energy independence trends in economics, environment, technology, national security and politics.
Take training workshops on: how to educate policy-makers and the press; form local, state-wide, and regional chapters of the new organization; and launch our campaign from coast to coast.
THE CONFERENCE

The next morning we reconvene at the Lifelong Learning Auditorium of Florida Atlantic University’s Jupiter Campus for a day of education and interactive training with some of the leading experts in energy, security, transportation and the sciences. The agenda also includes remarks by members of Congress and special panel discussions on alternative liquid fuels and electric plug-in vehicles.
