From G.S. – Little has been said about Obama’s close relationship with Khalidi when they were both in Chicago. Khalidi has since taken the Edward Said chair at Columbia. Obama mentioned him in “Audacity of Hope” as a close friend… He and Michelle would have dinner with him at Khalidi’s house and discuss the Palestinian situation. Obama said he learned a lot from him… (I bet he did.)
